If Manchester City win this, and claim the domestic treble, it will simply prove that modern football is all about who has the most money. The richest teams usually win, but the FA Cup can throw up some beautiful exceptions to that rule. COME ON WATFORD!

The red carpet has been rolled out - the FA Cup will be led out by Manchester City legend Tony Book, who captained the team to victory in 1969, and Watford’s all-time highest goal scorer Luther Blissett.
The teams will be introduced to a presentation party including The President of The FA, The Duke of Cambridge, FA Chairman, Greg Clarke, Chair of the Challenge Cup Committee, Cliff Crown and President of Emirates Airline, Sir Tim Clark KBE.

Troy Deeney is a leader and he's not afraid to say what he thinks. I hope the occasion doesn't get to him because it is a big occasion so I hope he doesn't lose his head. He needs to go out and enjoy it because his team need him today.

Annie Mac swings us from Elton to Wonderwall and the noise really kicks in from the City fans away to my left - we are 20 minutes from kick-off and this place is fully going off now...

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola , speaking to BBC Sport: "We have incredible respect for Watford. They can play long balls, they can pass, they have everything. But we are here to try and win the game."
On the selection of Gabriel Jesus ahead of Sergio Aguero: "It is always difficult but at the same time Gabriel is an incredible guy, his mood in training, he is a fighter. He has played in the competition this season; he scored the winner in the semi-final, so he deserves to play. It is difficult for me to choose the right XI but it is what it is."

This is a must-win for Manchester City. It will be difficult because Watford won’t roll over. But on the back of what they have done this season and the form they are in, they come here on a high. It doesn’t matter who they play, a team at the top or the bottom, City will go out with the same attitude. That’s what Pep has instilled in them and what has brought them so far this season.

Watford boss Javi Gracia on BBC One: It is a very special day, not only for me but for the players, supporters and the entire club. The most important thing is to compete. I have no doubt my players are ready and we will see if we can get a good result. It is not easy, we have played twice against them and lost this season. But we have scored goals in both games and competed so I’m sure we will have our chances."

I understand the sentiment, but Heurelho Gomes is not their number one keeper, Ben Foster is because he has played in every Premier League game. Gomes has played just seven games this season and it is a huge gamble. It is their chance to make history and they should be putting their best team out.

The atmosphere is really picking up now as Wembley slowly starts to fill up.
I wonder if the Manchester City fan who was drinking vodka neat from the bottle opposite me at 10am has made it in?!

Etienne Capoue is integral to Watford's midfield. He's the one who will be attempting to break up City's play and trying to set the likes of Gerard Deulofeu free up front.

It's a real opportunity for Watford because it's a cup final - anything can happen.
They need to sit back and defend in numbers and then look for set-pieces and maybe Gerard Deulofeu on the break.
The way they play will give them a chance. They're very cautious which is the only way you can beat City.
Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley
Watford manager Javi Gracia is not waiting to let Gerard Deulofeu show what he can do. He turned the semi-final against Wolves with two goals after coming off the bench but he is in from the start here against Manchester City.
No-one has ever doubted Deulofeu's magical talents, the problem is consistency.
He is, without question, a game-changer and is capable of providing the "X Factor" Watford may need to unlock Pep Guardiola's Premier League champions.
Will today be his day at Wembley?

It's the taking part that counts, right?
Absolutely not. Craig Cathcart could end the day with more FA Cup winner's medals than Alan Shearer, and he'll have earned it too if he shuts out this Manchester City team...

It didn't take long for the Match of the Day pundits to remind Alan Shearer of his record in the FA Cup, with a little help from the Wembley Stadium big screen.
How many FA Cups have you won again, Alan?

Watford manager Javi Gracia, speaking to BBC Sport: "We've played twice against them, with two defeats [3-1 and 2-1]. But we competed well and scored in both games. I'm sure we'll have our chances.
"I have spoken with the players about enjoying today. But I only know one way to enjoy - work hard and get a good result."

Former Arsenal striker on BBC One
It's alarmingly obvious that Heurelho Gomes isn't Watford's usual number one - he's only played seven games this season.
But it's his last game; he could go out a huge hero or he could go out with pie on his face. Let's hope he makes himself a hero.

Watford defender Jose Holebas, who starts after his red card on the final day of the Premier League season was overturned, speaking to BBC Sport:
"It was a ridiculous red card in the last game. It was given and I'm happy that they took it back and that I can play today.
"It's a really big day today for the boys and the club.
"Man City have the most pressure. We can go into the game free and think about enjoying it. We can focus on what we've spoken about and in the end we'll see what the result is.
"The boys have to step up now because it's not just the last game of the season, it's a big game. I don't know if we can reach this again."

This will be Watford's eighth competitive match at Wembley - half of which have come since the start of last season (2x Premier League games v Spurs, the FA Cup semi-final v Wolves and today).
