Dan: Is anyone else a bit bored? Can’t help but feel Liverpool are the only team that can keep things interesting next year. City will just walk everything otherwise.

Jason: Everyone goes on about how good City are, might help if a few teams turned up against them now and again. And as for Pep being a great manager, drop him into league two with no money and see how good he his.

Almost three! Gabriel Jesus wriggles past a defender inside the area after more fine play from Raheem Sterling, he tries to nutmeg Heurelho Gomes but he closes his legs and keeps it out.

I’m hoping Watford are going to be positive, maybe see Success or Andre Gray come on, give Deeney a bit of help as he is coming deep and he isn’t as effective there.

They need to go two up top and make the game as ugly as possible. Get it forward, get the knockdowns.

Almost! City give the ball away cheaply and Troy Deeney plays a neat one-two, Will Hughes then threatens to get a shot away but he's charged down.

Kritt: Watford players in the dressing room at half-time should just be shown highlights of Ajax vs Spurs and Liverpool vs Barcelona for motivation.

Is there a hero waiting on that Watford bench? They were of course 2-0 down against Wolves in the semi-final and came back...

There is no way Watford can win the game playing that way. You cannot just let players like Bernardo Silva have the ball. Deeney is playing in a five in midfield and Deulofeu up top, he won’t be able to hold the ball up.

They are a decent side Watford and they can play. But they have to play their way. They have taken everything they do well away from that performance in the first half.

I can only call it as I see it but that criticism of Watford seems harsh to me. After all, they did nearly take the lead on the counter attack and have looked a threat at times.

Not many teams dominate against this Manchester City side and most are a lot more negative to be honest...

Javi Gracia has set Watford up to sit deep and catch City on the break. But how do you do that if you have no-one up front? If you’re a Watford fan you would be really, really disappointed with what you have seen so far.

They have just sat back and let City do what they want. Whatever the manager has told them, he has got it completely wrong. If Watford come out and play the same system it could be four or five.

If you're just joining us, Sergio Aguero is on the bench today.

Should Watford scale Everest base camp and get it back to 2-2 Pep can always throw him on.

    And Kevin de Bruyne.

    And Leroy Sane...

Raheem Sterling has been directly involved in 39 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions this season (24 goals, 15 assists), a figure bettered only by Sergio Aguero among Premier League players (42).

What can Javi Gracia say to his troops after that? Watford were well in the game and had a great chance and a penalty shout, but that second goal looks to have settled this final.

After all, who can recall any sort of dramatic comebacks against the odds in recent times...?

City are an unbelievable side but surely you have to show a bit more ambition in a cup final? I don't get the tactics Watford are trying to play here. It is basically saying to City 'here, have the ball, do what you want with it'.
