Grant Hanley gives away a free kick just outside the Norwich area. The visitors form a wall, as do Liverpool but it is part of a play to give Trent Alexander-Arnold a shot on goal and he smashes it towards the top corner but Tim Krul does well to beat it away.

You can see flashes of why Norwich won the Championship last season. Buendia has been their stand-out performer - the vision he has, the ability to drop a shoulder and show nice skill in the right areas.

I hope Norwich take a lot of confidence from this second half because they've been superb, they've steadied the ship. Maybe Liverpool dropped it down a couple of gears but give Norwich a bit of credit, they've grown into this game.

Final change for Norwich as goalscorer Teemu Pukki is replaced by Switzerland forward Josip Drmic, who is making his debut.

Onel Hernández is found in acres of space by Moritz Leitner. He takes a touch and then shoots but it is straight at Adrian. The flag was up for offside anyway.

Fair play to Norwich, though. It has been a harsh introduction to the Premier League but they have stuck to their system, have played some nice football at times and have had chances.

Sadio Mane weaves through the Norwich defence to collect Roberto Firmino's ball down the left. He gets into the box before cutting the ball back in the danger zone and Norwich take no chances, smashing behind for another Liverpool corner.

It was a good performance from Divock Origi. He's fiull of confidence after the Champions League and rightly so. He's been very welcome at Anfield and has had a hero's reception everywhere he's gone over pre-season.

Jordan Henderson casually hooks the ball towards the far post, where Divock Origi is steaming in but Max Aarons is alert to the danger and knocks the ball behind for a corner.

Liverpool haven't quite been as aggressive in this half, but they are still having opportunities.

Aaron: Liverpool's flaky defence seems to coincide with Gomez playing over Matip. Gomez is the better long term option but for now, I think Matip is by far the superior defender.

Onel Hernández is on for Norwich, replacing Tom Trybull.

That's a history-making change as Hernandez becomes the first Cuban to play in the Premier League while Cuba become the 114th nation to be represented in the league.

That goal has buoyed both the travelling Norwich fans and their players and they are getting forward in more numbers now.

A second goal would certainly make things interesting...

Van Dijk is furious with Trent Alexander-Arnold for going with Pukki and breaking the line. It's actually Andrew Robertson who plays him on though.

Better third touch from Moritz Leitner though! He controls a ball just inside the area before then smacking an effort against the woodwork.

Confidence will go down for Norwich so it depends how they recover from tonight. It doesn't matter what the manager tells you, you don't believe in what's happening because you're thinking 'I don't want to play that pass in case he nicks it and he's in at me again'. That's what they'll be thinking tonight.

That could be everything you've worked on last season and it can go in one game. Liverpool are very good team but there are so many good teams in this league that will hurt Norwich if they continue to play in this way.

You probably don't need to tell them not to get booked with your first touch - that's fairly self explanatory.

Moritz Leitner does get booked with his first touch though as he clips the back of Jordan Henderson's foot.
