It's the rotation of Liverpool's forward players, the ability to find that space. Jurgen Klopp's created an exciting team. You look at them and Manchester City - it's the way they play, the way they find those areas. That's what makes them so dangerous.

Norwich will be asking 'how do we stop this?' The amount of work that would have gone on in training over the last couple of months but until you step onto the pitch with world-class players, that's when you realise their quality. You can't work against that in training because you don 't have that world-class ability in your own ranks.

Let's not be too harsh on Norwich here. One, Van Dijk is probably the cost of their whole starting 11. Not to mention this is a newly promoted club against European champions. This game measures nothing, keep your chins (beaks?) up Canaries.

A minute to go until half time and Liverpool are showing no sign of easing up. If anything every goal is making them even hungrier for more.

We're heading towards hide behind the sofa time for Norwich fans...

Not much Norwich could do about this one in fairness. Trent Alexander-Arnold floats in a brilliant ball and all Divock Origi has to do is flick a header beyond Tim Krul.

    Effortless.

I don't think this will faze Adrian. He's a big character and was very influential in the West Ham dressing room. I think he'll enjoy the challenge of coming here. He said he wanted to put pressure on Alisson - I don't think he'd have thought it would come this quick - but what a chance he's got now.

This is definitely game over for Alisson. He hobbles off the pitch and so on comes former West Ham keeper Adrian - just days after signing on a free transfer - for his debut.

Huge ovation for Adrian coming on. That will help settle any nerves he undoubtedly has.

This is a concern for Liverpool. Alisson is down injured. It looks like he rolled his ankle while taking a goal kick. Adrián is getting ready to come on...

Look at the way Norwich are playing out from the back. I feel they're inviting pressure on themselves that they don't need. I know you want to stick to your game plan and play in a certain style but Liverpool are on their game tonight. They look fluent, they look in the mood to play football and they feel they can score a hatful of goals.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 31 mins

    Liverpool 3-0 Norwich

Great save by Tim Krul to prevent Liverpool adding a fourth!

Beautiful touch by Roberto Firmino to bring a ball into the box under control before hitting a volley on the turn but Krul reacts quickly to push it away.

Liverpool, though, pick up the ball and come forward again. They are hungry for more.

Norwich have actually played some decent stuff but that was a soft goal to concede. Where was the marking? The big debate in the press box is how many Liverpool will now go on and score. The person next to me says seven!

It's too easy. Yes, Virgil van Dijk is a towering centre-half but he has to be marked better. I can't understand why Jamal Lewis is marking him. He's got hold of him and is trying to push him back but there's no challenge on him.. He doesn't even get off his feet. It's a terrible start to Norwich's Premier League campaign.

This is proving to be a very harsh re-introduction to life in the Premier League for Norwich...

They don't do themselves any favours though as they fail to pick up Virgil van Dijk for a corner and the big defender meets Mo Salah's delivery to power a header into the back of the net.
