Well for the last 10 minutes it's been pretty relentless from Tottenham. It's been coming. They deserve that. Eriksen has been immense since he came on, Aston Villa are looking fatigued. It was a superb finish for the debutante. They are going to go for it here, they are desperate for the win.

Rezaa Sait: What is worrying for Spurs is that they do not have a back up striker to add extra fire power in games like these.

Twenty minutes to go. What a victory this would be for Dean Smith and Aston Villa.

Lewis Wilson: It takes some serious talent to shoot from 6 yards and manage to put it out for a throw in. Sissoko is very talented.

Spurs are really pushing here. Christian Eriksen has really changed things, they just look so much stronger. They are committing players forwards, they are winning the ball. I think Dean Smith might have to start thinking about changing things here. His players are starting to look a bit fatigued.

Erik Lamela wriggles forward and slides it wide to Harry Kane, who spots the onrushing Christian Eriksen and tees up the Dane on the edge of the box.

But Eriksen scuffs it wide. A few million off the price tag...

Blimey. A few Aston Villa fans' hearts in mouths there as Tom Heaton comes dashing out of his area to meet a through ball with his head. It only falls to Erik Lamela, but the Spurs man shanks his attempt at goal and Heaton, on his debut, looks relieved.

This time Harry Kane is allowed to drive in off the left flank and fire on goal, but the Villa defender dives across to divert it behind.

And it looks like Christian Eriksen has been called back towards the Spurs bench, does this mean the Dane is about to be introduced?

Tottenham, after that lively start to the half, are struggling to find a way through Villa's defence.

Tanguy Ndombele is encouraged to shoot from distance by the home crowd, and does. The Frenchman has to offer a round of apologies after it sails harmlessly wide.

Tyrone Mings seems to be everywhere. Every ball into the box, he sticks a limb on it. Mind you, centre-back partner Bjorn Engels is doing a pretty solid job, too.
