Rangers come within a whisker of taking the lead. A lighting counter sees them cut through the Progres midfield and defence but Scott Arfield sees his effort rebound off the post.
Progres keeper Sebastien Flauss, in his best Forrest Gump impression, came galloping off his line to see Arfield's effort trundle through his legs but back off the woodwork.

Quote MessageIf Rangers lose a goal that pressure comes back on. They have to be careful, keep it nice and tight, don't give anything away, don't give Progres any chances to give them a lift. If they do that I see them being comfortable and creating opportunities throughout the match. I think they'll score but I wouldn't like them to bring that pressure of losing a goal, as the mental strain on you as a team isn't good especially if you're favourites to win the game.

Rangers captain James Tavernier is in bullish form ahead of the new Premiership season and his side's tilt at the Europa League.
Holding a 2-0 lead going into the second leg of the Europa League qualifier against Progres Niederkorn, the defender has been waxing lyrical about the Ibrox squad.
"I feel we are a lot better. The only player who you would say is not here is Ryan Kent, who was a great addition last season," he said.

Alfredo Morelos fired 30 goals for Rangers last season and the Colombian will be aiming to prove he's worth his weight in gold this term.
Speculation suggested that a £30m contract offer in China was being dangled in front of the striker.
Sky Sports News, external claimed on Wednesday the Colombian had rejected a lucrative deal from Hebei Fortune who were willing to meet his £15m valuation.
