  1. Progres shocker 'shouldn't have happened' - Millerpublished at 18:10

    Progres Niederkorn v Rangers (18:30)

Rangers will be determined to avoid lightning striking twice in Luxembourg.

Two years ago, under the ill-fated Pedro Caixinha reign, the club held a 1-0 first leg lead against Progres.

However, a 2-0 reverse saw Rangers knocked out of the Europa League in arguably the club's worst result in Europe.

The evening culminated in Caixinha remonstrating with fans in a hedge.

Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller - now at Partick Thistle - has a succinct description of that night.

"It was more a disbelief of 'what's just happened?', because it shouldn't have happened," he told BBC Scotland.

"For all the build-up and the dream to achieve European football again and talk of reaching the group stages, it was more of a disbelief of what had happened, because it shouldn't have."

  2. 'Not worth risking Davis' - Gerrardpublished at 18:07

    Progres Niederkorn v Rangers (18:30)

Rangers midfielder Steven Davis will be cooling his heels - and his hamstring - during tonight's second leg in Luxembourg.

The Northern Ireland international is the only absentee from the 2-0 victory at Ibrox, as he nurses a tight hamstring.

"The players are in good shape and have trained really well," says Rangers manager Steven Gerrard.

Steven Davis won't be risked with the new Premiership campaign on the horizon

"We have come over here with a fully-fit squad besides Steven Davis and everyone is focused and tuned-in to finish the job off.

"Steven had a tight hamstring after the Derby game. I think, at a real, big push he could have been with us, but at this stage of the season and such an important player, it's not worth taking a risk.

"I think he'll have a good chance [of facing Kilmarnock in the Premiership on Sunday]."

  4. Rangers eye progresspublished at 18:04

    Progres Niederkorn v Rangers (18:30)

What do Rangers need in Luxembourg tonight? Goals either side of half-time from summer signings Joe Aribo and Sheyi Ojo gave Steven Gerrard's troops an advantage from the first leg at Ibrox.

Rangers, with a two-goal lead, should be confident of progressing at Progres' expense.
