If memory serves, Harry Wilson is possibly the first Bournemouth player to mark his home debut by scoring with a direct free-kick since Darren Anderton curled one in from 30 yards against Scunthorpe here in September 2006.

Text or tweet in if you can remember any Cherries player who's done it since then...

James Hammond: That was special, well in Harry Wilson. Really hope Liverpool give you a chance next year.

Leuan Latham: What a free kick by Harry Wilson.

Josh Earl: The technique from Harry Wilson to generate such movement and trajectory is a real thing of beauty, he's deadly from free-kicks!

As good a free kick as you will ever see. Harry Wilson absolutely delivered on that. You can see the confidence and the belief he has with his free-kicks. That is absolute perfection. The dip he is getting on that is just fantastic. He came over knowing it was his ball and knowing what he was going to do.

    Harry Wilson

    You beauty!!!

Harry Wilson produces the goods again and it's up there with one of his best. He whips it around the wall and curls it beautifully into the top right corner.

Ederson has absolutely no chance. It even ripples the back and the sides of the netting. A real corker.

Make that 11 goals for Sterling in his last nine league and cup games against Bournemouth. Nemesis.

Bizarrely, the City fans have just been chanting about VAR (a chant unprintable on a family website), even though the video assistant referee has been "sub not used" this afternoon.

Harry Wilson has space to run into as he cuts in from the right. He reaches the edge of the box and tries to thread it through to Callum Wilson but it's cut out.

Bournemouth are just trying to build on a built of possession here.

That goal comes from Manchester City's left hand side again and Bournemouth's defenders have not been able to keep hold of them. Adam Smith falls asleep just briefly, just one tiny moment where you are not paying attention and Manchester City will pounce. Smith just could not react quickly enough

    The goalscoring run continues!

Once again, David Silva is instrumental. The Spaniard flicks a lovely ball into Raheem Sterling and the England international does the rest - lifting it beyond Aaron Ramsdale.

That's five games in a row in all competitions he has netted in!

It looks like Ryan Fraser has dropped back into Daniels' left-wing-back role, with Harry Wilson supporting namesake Callum from the right of midfield, and Joshua King taking up Fraser's previous left-midfield role as the Cherries line up - certainly when City have the ball, which is most of the time - in a 5-4-1 formation.

Oh no! How has he missed this!?

A cross from the right isn't dealt with properly by Nicolas Otamendi and the ball rolls loose. It's on a plate for Adam Smith from a few yards out but he ends up blasting it over the bar after it takes a slight deflection off Ederson's head!

Charlie Daniels got a standing ovation from the whole stadium, Manchester City fans as well. You have to hope it is nothing too serious but when you go down like that with no one around you, you know it's not good and you know you've done damage, you have that feeling as a footballer. He looked like he was in tears. He was covering his eyes as he went off on a stretcher.

Steve Cook's long throw comes all the way through to Nathan Ake, near the back post, but the centre-back doesn't get proper contact on the ball and it bounces into Ederson's hands.

Charlie Daniels, one of Bournemouth's survivors since their League One days, was only making his second start since March after a knee injury kept him out of the run-in last season.

The Cherries have a like-for-like replacement on the bench in fellow left-back Diego Rico, but in a bold move, attacking midfielder Harry Wilson is the preferred choice.
