O Cube: Been here before. Score first, dominate possession but not win. Kindly finish this off quickly City. Thanks.

Man city need to start pushing forward and work Bouremouth's defence hard

There's concern here for Charlie Daniels, who clearly felt that. He's being checked over by the medical staff and a stretcher has been carried onto the pitch.

On-loan Liverpool midfielder Harry Wilson is preparing to come on.

    This is better!

Raheem Sterling is played in by David Silva but the Cherries' defence stands firm. Bournemouth then play it around midfield nicely, switching play from right to left, before it comes out to Charlie Daniels near the touchline.

He crosses it first time under pressure from Kyle Walker and they win a throw-in. But Daniels has hurt himself. It looks like he jarred his knee.

Sergio Aguero is just sitting in that pocket of space on the edge of the box. Aymeric Laporte picks him out with a lovely threaded pass and the striker quickly turns on the spot.

He has space to shoot but chooses not to, instead trying to create a better angle before he ends up striking it against Raheem Sterling. It bobbles out for a goal kick.

I love the simplicity of what Kevin de Bruyne does. The one-two play and the vision that he has, it's just a wonder to watch. He's one of my favourite players in the Premier League. He will see a pass that is not even on and somehow makes it.

England's chances of producing a miracle at Headingley are rapidly fading as yet another wicket has fallen...

And here at the Vitality, Bournemouth are struggling to present anything to suggest an upset. Sergio Aguero's pressure has just forced Aaron Ramsdale to honk his clearance wide before Raheem Sterling is invited to shoot from long range.

It's going to be a long afternoon.

It's very much shirt-sleeve order in this weather (apart from a group of bare-chested male Manchester City fans who are topping up their suntans). Of the 22 players and three officials on the field, City keeper Ederson is the only one in long sleeves.

As for the managers, Eddie Howe is in his regulation club-logo-embossed black polo shirt, while Pep Guardiola is in a plain beige T-shirt which wouldn't be out of place if he decided to take a stroll along the seafront later.

Meanwhile, Cherries midfielder Harry Arter - who's on a season-long loan at Fulham - has also showed up to watch his parent club play.

Nicely done by Ryan Fraser, who twists and turns on the edge of his own area in order to clear the ball.

But only Callum Wilson is up field and one long ball over to him is quickly snuffed out before City win a corner at the other end within seconds...

Kevin de Bruyne's miscued shot which turned out to be an assist, is his 50th Premier League assist in his 123rd appearance in the competition.

He breaks the record for the quickest player to reach 50 PL assists, set by Mesut Ozil in his 141st match.

Gavriel Seitler: Ederson should've been sent off. A leg that high is a red irrelevant who it is.

Freddie: Bournemouth really need to pick up the pace to have a shout at winning.

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man City

City have plenty of opportunities to put the ball in the box and another Oleksandr Zinchenko cross falls for David Silva.

He takes a swing at it on the half volley but Aaron Ramsdale does enough to palm it away to his right.

"Sergio, Sergio," sing the massed ranks of away fans after Aguero puts City ahead - while the home supporters opt for a bristling "one-nil to the referee" - feeling that Ederson could be taking an enforced early shower by now.

It's certainly kicked the City fans into life - they're very loud now, while Pep Guardiola remains the more animated of the two managers, exchanging a few words with Ilkay Gundogan as the German comes towards the near touchline.

Just under 20 minutes gone and it's already a 'backs against the wall' job for Bournemouth, as you can see from their average positions on the left.

Man City will be so relieved to get that goal. Bournemouth’s defence is just not tight enough and they looked bit nervous. A little bit disappointing for Bournemouth and a little bit lucky for Manchester City.

    There's too much space, here.

Oleksandr Zinchenko's low cross from the left is initially miscued by Kevin de Bruyne, who was unmarked in the box.

It falls kindly for Sergio Aguero, who is again unmarked, and he controls it before poking it past Aaron Ramsdale.

    What is he doing here!?

Callum Wilson gets away down the left and has beaten the full-back. Ederson, who has sprinted all the way out to the touchline, has to get there first but doesn't.

Instead he ends up taking out Wilson and giving away a free-kick. Another yellow card...

Kevin de Bruyne - with Man City's third corner of the game - takes it quickly, flicking it over to Bernardo Silva, who is unmarked on the top of the box.

He pushes it on first time but doesn't find a team-mate.

What an important touch that was. I thought that was a goal. It just touches Nathan Ake's knee, I am not sure he knows anything about it but it was so important. Raheem Sterling has started really strongly, I think he is going to be a handful today.
