Ian Dimps: Man City would not have won anything without this magician. He is class.

Adie Pearson: Absolute Premier League legend. Been a fantastic servant for Man City too.

Dr. Sterling: One of the greatest yet most underrated players of the Premier League era. Not necessarily aesthetically pleasing but does everything a midfielder should do and creates magic all the time.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "Raheem Sterling has done well against us in recent seasons, he's an outstanding talent.

"You look through their team and they've got so much quality so we'll have plenty of players to keep quiet.

"A big thing for us will be the crowd. The players bounce off the crowd and we're really hopeful of a good atmosphere to help us."

As if a domestic treble wasn't enough to celebrate, Manchester City fans pulled out first prize in the Premier League fixtures lottery - with a trip to the seaside on an August Bank Holiday weekend.

There's barely a cloud in the sky, the sun's beating down and the home club are distributing free (cherry-flavoured) ice creams outside the ground.

Trains down through the New Forest this morning were predictably packed with holidaymakers - although a combination of engineering work and a strike may make the City fans' journey back to Manchester a little longer than expected.

What a start to the season Raheem Sterling is having!

The England international is in top form having scored in four consecutive appearances for the first time in his career.

He grabbed a hat-trick in Man City's opening league victory over West Ham and netted again against Tottenham last weekend.

And Sterling will be licking his lips today because he has scored eight goals and picked up two assists in just seven league appearances against Bournemouth...

Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live

Pep Guardiola hailed last season's 1-0 win in this fixture as one of his team's best-ever performances.

They certainly dominated from start to finish, with Bournemouth reduced to trying to keep it tight while having less than 20% of the play and not a single shot on goal in the whole match.

The bad news for the home team is that Guardiola has had eight days to work with his players since their draw against Tottenham.

A rare luxury indeed in a congested season. Eddie Howe's team enjoyed a 2-1 win at Villa last week but Bournemouth have lost all eight Premier League fixtures against City.

  8. Defensive improvements from Cherriespublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 25 August 2019

Bournemouth v Man City (14:00 BST)

It's not been a bad start to the season from Bournemouth.

They have picked up four points from their opening two games - a win on the road against Aston Villa and a hard-fought draw at home to newly-promoted Sheffield United.

But that victory against Villa was only their fourth in all competitions since January and a clean sheet has become a rare sight at Vitality Stadium.

Manager Eddie Howe was encouraged by his team's defending last week but will they be able to cope with the back-to-back Premier League champions?

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo will reshuffle his team following their Europa League win in Italy on Thursday.

Matt Doherty missed that match after being withdrawn at half-time against Manchester United on Monday due to illness and will have been assessed.

Burnley's Danny Drinkwater built up his fitness by playing 45 minutes for the club's Under-23 side this week, but will not feature in this match.

Robbie Brady and Steven Defour remain on the sidelines.

  16. 'Ban players who dive'published at 13:05 British Summer Time 25 August 2019

    Wolves v Burnley (16:30 BST)

Burnley manager Sean Dyche said players "can cheat at least once a game" as he criticised the Premier League's rules on simulation after their defeat at Arsenal last weekend.

Dyche, a long-standing advocate of harsher punishments for diving, believes the threat of a yellow card does not offer enough of a deterrent.

On the changes he would like to see, Dyche said: "Simple. Ban them. It would be out of football within a month.

"It's not about Arsenal. It's about the greater good of the game."
