Johnny Magrinho: Firmino is an incredible player. Klopp deserves the praise - he's created a position specifically for someone he views as one of his most important players and he's flourished. I can't think of anyone else who can do what he can to such a high level, so consistently.

Hasan Anfield: WWWWWWWWWWWWWW. In Klopp we trust.

A Roberto Firmino masterclass. Liverpool have 15 points from a possible 15 and remain top of the Premier League.

Newcastle at least gave the fans a goal to cheer about but they won't have too many complaints with the scoreline.

    Liverpool 3-1 Newcastle

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

On Liverpool's third goal: They have moved the ball around so well. We've seen some fantastic touches. Firmino's touch and backheel (for the goal) was sublime and we know how good Mo Salah's finishing is, he just dinks it into the corner. Beautiful goal.

"Firmino's just a brilliant player. What I like about him is he wants to play for the team. It's infectious, you want to copy it. He has come on (as substitute) with a great sharpness from being away in the week and the touch and cheeky backheel was just brilliant."

    No hat-trick for Sadio Mane.

How has this not gone in? It's another flick from Roberto Firmino! He's looking for Mo Salah and somehow the ball rolls through two defenders - who seemed to run into each other.

Salah is preparing to shoot but Trent Alexander-Arnold gets there first. Keeper Martin Dubravka makes the save.

The heatmaps below show the story of the match. Liverpool (on the left) have controlled possession and had plenty of enjoyment in the six-yard box.

Newcastle have been camped in their own box for the majority of the second half and when they have gone forward, they have been restricted to the wide areas.

Lovely day for it here in Manchester, makes for a pleasant change.

Troubled United welcome unbeaten Leicester to Old Trafford, in a match dubbed by local roadsign operators as the "race for sixth".

A midfield that looks light already, the hosts are without Paul Pogba and Anthony Marital, with a doubt over the fitness of Aaron Wan-Bissaka at the back.

  17. Lack of optimism at Old Trafford?published at 14:05 British Summer Time 14 September 2019

Man Utd v Leicester (15:00 BST)

    John Acres
Final Score reporter at Old Trafford

Not sure I've ever spoken to so many United fans who think they'll lose a home game here.

I spoke to James Twine, who's from Plymouth. He said: "I still go into most fixtures (City and Liverpool aside), wearing my red-tinted glasses and expecting us to win.

"However, the reality is I am seriously concerned about the threat Leicester pose, with James Maddison’s craft, Jamie Vardy’s pace and United’s lack of pace at the back. I'm expecting them to get Harry Maguire turning and it could be a tough day.

"If we could sign someone like Maddison in January I think that would change everything and we would be in with a good shout of the top four. but without that creativity I think we will struggle for top 6.

Noel Fitzpatrick: Is there an award for assist of the season? If so then just give it to Bobby Firmino now!

Joel Newsome-Hubbard: Firmino is just sublime.

Poor Mo Salah - he scores and still everyone is talking about Roberto Firmino

Salah has not been at the races for me, he's been very subdued but when he has moments like that it is fantastic to watch. You cannot complain can you. Newcastle have proved a tough resistance, Liverpool have been looking tired.
