Has he fallen in a puddle somewhere at the King Power?

Simon Harding: Just watched that Hayden tackle. Foot goes into shin. Definite red card.

Abu Ali: The audacity of players to complain like Hayden when they get sent off for challenges like that..

Kris Jefferson: Shocking tackle from Hayden and deserved red card, but it originated from Newcastle yet again being unable to keep a hold of the ball in Leicester’s third

I'm not having the red card. Hayden wasn't off the ground and he won the whole ball. If praet had actually tried to tackle and not pull out it would of just been a fair tackle. No tackles allowed and VAR = football is ruined.

    Tom Newcastle fan

An over reaction if ever there was one. Football has become a joke. Praet is completely fine man, give over.

    Ken

No way was that a red card for Hayden. It was just a good old fashioned meaty tackle - just how I like them! Where's VAR?

  11. 'Big half-time talk for Bruce'published at 17:23 British Summer Time 29 September 2019

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live

Leicester will be disappointed they haven't gone in at half-time a couple more goals to the good.

Newcastle have been poor, and now they're a man down. It's a big half-time team-talk now for Steve Bruce.

I hope when Hayden sees the tackle back he comes out and apologises, as I'm sure he will.

You're obviously out of control when you go into that tackle - he was reckless and I'm shocked if there's anyone who doesn't think that was a red card.

Fair to say Steve Bruce is absolutely drenched - he just ran his hands through his hair and about three litres came out. It has obviously been an extremely unhappy first half for the Magpies manager and his side, and he did not even glance at Isaac Hayden when he passed him on his way down the tunnel.

Bruce’s most animated reactions have been when his side have wasted possession by playing an overly ambitious long ball. His last instructions while they still had 11 men were simple: “pass, pass, pass”

    It's strong, it's aggressive, but it's very high - it's almost at Praet's knee.

I thought it was a red card straight away - on seeing it again Hayden can have no complaints.

Hayden is walking off saying 'I don't know what you've seen'. It's endangering the player - it's really high. Praet seems okay.

  18. RED CARD TO NEWCASTLEpublished at 43 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Newcastle

No doubt about it, had to be a red card.

It is a 50-50 ball in the Leicester half, it runs away a little from Dennis Praet but Isaac Hayden comes in recklessly, no control of his body and dives in with both feet straight onto the shins of the Leicester player.

A horror challenge, could have broken his legs.

Hayden shouts, "What's the point in playing? What's the point?" as he trudges off the pitch.

Manager Steve Bruce cannot even look in his direction.

Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans has ran the show today, he is a joy to watch.

The Belgian picks up a pocket down the left-hand touchline and whips in a perfect cross towards Jamie Vardy, but the Englishman cannot keep his effort down.
