You can go through the whole England team - there's not one player who has played to the level we would expect them to play at.

England have been very poor.

The first thing you want is the tempo. I don't get Mason Mount's position holding hands with Raheem Sterling on the left - if you're playing at number 10 you have to look to be the creative player.

The back four has been slow and sluggish. You don't see the effort and work-rate which is the main problem. There's plenty for Gareth Southgate to think about, but the main thing is the tempo.

That'll probably be the last action of the half.

Jakub Jankto bends the ball in but this time Michael Keane heads away. England then break quickly and Jadon Sancho wins England a corner...

England have to start stretching teams. They have the pace up front to beat players.

They're playing it to feet and the Czech Republic are very happy about it.

England will be delighted with 1-1 at half-time, while the Czech Republic won't want half-time to come.

Quick break by Czech Republic through Patrik Schick, who fires in a cross from the left that runs all the way through to Lukas Masopust unmarked on the other side of the area but he rushes his shot and it skews well wide.

Good job Frank Lampard isn't watching the box at the moment. It has been a very low key full debut from Mason Mount so far.

The defending has been poor but the midfield hasn't been much better for England. Very static.

It has all gone rather quiet in the stadium now, with the hosts having eased off a bit too. All we're seeing now is some cautious passing back and forth between defenders.

That was England's best bit of football.

What happened there was Jordan Henderson left Declan Rice to go and attack. I don't think England need to be playing with two holding midfielders.

Czech Republic are just starting to come off the pace a bit which is also allowing England a little bit more possession.

I thought the Czech Republic were pathetic when they played at Wembley. Tonight they're a completely different side.

Gareth Southgate is having a chat with a few of his players - it's about leg work more than anything else. They've got to press the Czech Republic much higher.

Finally! A chance at the other end as Jadon Sancho plays an early pass to Harry Kane inside the area. The Tottenham striker shoots, the shot is blocked but the loose ball almost squirms through to Mason Mount but the hosts just about recover in time.

England only had two touches in Czech Republic's box in the opening half-an-hour through Raheem Sterling when he was fouled for the penalty and the resulting effort from Harry Kane.

In comparison the home side had eight touches in England's box.

Czech Republic have a free kick now on the right, level with the England box. A set piece means another moment of nervousness for England fans and it is well placed as Vladimír Darida's delivery finds a team-mate, but Patrik Schick's cushioned effort is an easy catch for Jordan Pickford.

The Czech fans are loving this. I think they are genuinely surprised by their sides performance so far. Not only have they scored, but they are asking far more questions than England. The visiting fans are eerily quiet, but that won’t last for long. They will find their voices at some point.
