Mike Hunkin: So poor from Spurs today. Out pressed and out played by Brighton. No heart, no desire, something has to change and quickly.

Harrison Smith: Maybe try Foyth and Sanchez at CB next game! Alderweireld and Vertonghen have been terrible.

    From our friends at Opta...

    • 73rd minute sub Lucas Moura has had 67% of Spurs' shots on target in this match.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 90+1 mins

    Brighton 3-0 Tottenham

Brighton midfielder Dale Stephens is coming off now. He looks to have picked up a knock and gets a huge ovation and a hug from Potter.

Glenn Murray, Brighton's forgotten man, is on in his place.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 90 mins

    Brighton 3-0 Tottenham

Lewis Dunk is shown a yellow card for a headlock on Harry Kane. A bizarre tussle in the 90th minute.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 89 mins

    Brighton 3-0 Tottenham

Gaetan Bong is getting a few minutes on the field. He replaces Steven Alzate who has been quietly efficient in midfield.

    Brighton 3-0 Tottenham

Lucas Moura surely deserves a good run in the Spurs starting line-up. He's done more in 13 minutes than the majority of the Spurs team combined. Mat Ryan saves again from the Brazilian.

As a Spurs fan, I just can't understand what is going on! You hear rumours on social media, but obviously something is very wrong as this has happened so quickly. I can only think that the players don't respect each other or the manager. We are a big club and have the resources to sort this, I love Mauricio, but maybe he has taken the club as far as he can.

It's pass, pass, pass from Brighton. They are cruising. The Seagulls are outplaying Tottenham Hotspur.

Mat Ryan makes a rare save to deny the tricky Lucas Moura and the ball then returns to Brighton possession.

The home fans are loving this. They're cheering every pass.

That core of players has gone stale in my eyes. Vertonghen and Alderweireld look slow. Eriksen is nowhere near his best. Dele Alli can't even get in the team anymore.

Totenham have the nucleus of a great team, Kane, Son, Eriksen, Alli, Vertonghen and Alderweireld - but can't seem to find consistency. Transfers aren't the issue. It's either the system, the tactics or the formation. Something is wrong at Spurs.

Aaron Connolly is down on the ground. Hopefully he's just out of puff because the teenager has been superb on his full Premier League debut.

He is replaced by Yves Bissouma.

Graham Green: Not to take anything away from Brighton today, but watching Tottenham let in 10 goals (and counting?) over the past two games, how did Southampton not manage to beat a 10-man Spurs squad last week?!

  15. Postpublished at 78 mins

Spurs are huffing a puffing but don't really look like scoring one never mind three.

Erik Lamela stands in the centre circle looking like he's waiting for a bus with a ball at his feet. Neal Maupay runs over and robs him of the ball.

It's so slack from the visitors.

Aaron Connolly is the first Irish teenager to score a twice in a Premier League game since Robbie Keane for Coventry against Derby in August 1999.

    He has been excellent.

Lucas Moura replaces Son Heung-min. Spurs could do with another famous hat-trick from him.

    It's just not Spurs' day.

Normally Harry Kane buries these in the top corner. This time the ball floats way over the bar.

Daniel Woodley: I have fallen out of love with Spurs. No commitment, no desire, no passion and most of all, no interest. They aren't fit enough to wear the shirt. We are currently a laughing stock.

A chance for Spurs! Not often I've said that today. Son Heung-min can't convert from close range though after good work from Sissoko down the right.
