    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Unai Emery speaking to Sky Sports: "We are expecting to play a good match. We expect a lot out of the cup competition. We have won it two times and played in finals. Every player wants to play to win."

On starting Mesut Ozil: "He can help us. Tonight is important for him. He knows his teammates and who we are playing. He is going to play in his best position also. We want to share different qualities in this shape and to use everyone. His skill and his quality. He can be good physically."

On choosing Hector Bellerin over Ozil as captain: "After my decision about the captain, tonight it is because we had that decision to make Hector Bellerin the captain."

  2. 'You've got to put your arm around Ozil'published at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live

I don't think Mesut Ozil would be playing if it wasn't the League Cup. I think Emery just wants to change the team. It's interesting though to see that fans want him back in the team now things aren't going very well.

I think one of the things you've got to do with Ozil is put your arm around him and make him feel special.
