  1. 'It has not been as bad as everyone thought'published at 12:27 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

Bournemouth v Man Utd (12:30 GMT)

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, speaking to BT Sport about improved recent form: "Margins. It has not been as bad as everyone thought it has been and it is perhaps not as great as everyone thinks now.

"You are surprised by their lack of goals lately. They have had chances and not put them away. We need to defend properly, though. We can't come here and think it will be easy. We have to start well."

    Alan Shearer
Former Newcastle and England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Manchester United can make it four wins in a row because of the confidence which is flowing in the side now. That started with the draw against Liverpool. They picked up a lot of confidence from that. Their game looks to be a lot better now than it did six or seven weeks ago.

  4. 'We have not been at our attacking best'published at 12:18 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

Bournemouth v Man Utd (12:30 GMT)

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe, speaking to BT Sport: "It is unlike us in the last few games - we have not been at our attacking best.

"Harry Wilson's performance when he came on against Watford was very bright, very strong. Hopefully this will be a good change for us.

"All we can do is control ourselves and give our best performance. We are certainly looking forward to the game."

  6. No Xhaka for Arsenal against Wolvespublished at 12:12 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    Arsenal v Wolves (15:00 GMT)

Arsenal manager Unai Emery says captain Granit Xhaka will not be in the squad for today's game against Wolves.

Xhaka reacted angrily to being booed by home fans when substituted in last Sunday's draw with Crystal Palace. After facing criticism in the aftermath, the Swiss international said he "reached boiling point" as a result of threats to his wife and daughter.

"We need time to recover the normality in him and for us," said Emery. "He said sorry, he gave an apology to the supporters and now is time to focus on the match."

Tommy Thomson: Not a bad starting XI for United, but would have given Williams another start instead of Young. Good to see Lingard not starting too.

I predict Pogba's return will be against Everton on 15 Dec, three days after the Europa League group stage completes: leaving him not cup-tied in case a January move materialises!!

Seth: How Ashley Young keeps getting into this team is a mystery for the ages! One would have thought that Brandon Williams should have been picked ahead of him, but he's in the team. Is Ole under a spell from Young or something?

Adam Smith: Can’t help but think how much Bornemouth can’t allow Eddie Howe to leave given the current squad. I think they’d do a Charlton or a Stoke City after Curbishley & Pulis left them respectively.

  11. Are Rodgers' Leicester side better than Ranieri's title winners?published at 11:54 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

Leicester have had a flying start to the season - sitting third after 10 games - and it is bringing back memories of their famous title-winning season under Claudio Ranieri in 2015-16.

By most metrics, they are better now than they were at the same stage that season.

So how do the two teams compare? And could Leicester actually challenge for this year's title?

Jamie Vardy's hat-trick in Leicester's 9-0 thrashing of Southampton last week means he is sitting top of the Premier League scorers list with nine goals.

Add to that a Premier League title win in 2016 and 26 England caps, and it's fair to say Vardy has come a long way since starting his career in non-league with Stockbridge Park Steels in 2007.

But can you name 10 other players who rose from non-league to the top of English football Have a go here.

Anthony Martial is at that stage at his career at Manchester United where enough is enough now. He can't just turn up for a month, be unbelievable and then go missing again for six months.

This is a reoccurring thing with Martial. He's caught fire again, Man United are a better side with him in the team - I guarantee in a few months time he'll be out for another two or three months.

His ability has never been questioned. The reality is he missed out on a World Cup winners medal because he isn't doing enough for Manchester United.

The issue is being available. Injuries can't be helped, but I don't remember a time since he arrived where he has had a sustained run of games in that team and had the impact he should be having.

For this week's Premier League predictions, Lawro is up against Tommy O'Dell from Australian rock band DMA'S.

"I hope Marco Silva can turn things around," says Tommy.

"The last few weeks have been a bit brutal, and the amount of goals we concede from set-pieces is pretty harrowing, but I don't think sacking the manager is the answer."
