  1. 'Everton should have put the game to bed'published at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Southampton 1-1 Everton

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

Southampton were terrible in the first half and that's me being kind. Everton should have put the game to bed. Sofiane Boufal has come on, done Gylfi Sigurdsson one-on-one and suddenly the crowd are up and Southampton are all over Everton.

  2. 'Ndombele's injury could be a blessing in disguise'published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

The Harry Winks substitution could be a blessing in disguise: he’ll sit in front of the defence more than Tanguy Ndombele who came off injured.

Nbombele pushed forward a lot in the first half and did not give Alli and Lo Celso any room to move into.

  3. Postpublished at 16:08 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

Sheffield United continue knocking on the Tottenham door. This time though it's a waste as it falls to Oliver Norwood, with the Blades skipper shooting miles over the bar.

At the other end, Son Heung-min, whose red card against Everton was rescinded meaning he could play today, curls an effort off target.

  4. goal

GOAL - Southampton 1-1 Evertonpublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Danny Ings

Former Liverpool defender Danny Ings will have loved that!

Southampton have come alive at the start of the second half and grab an equaliser which seemed unlikely in the first half when Ings slots home from close range - Yerry Mina unable to prevent it going in.

Everton should have been out of sight in the first half. Now they're in danger of dropping more points.

  5. Postpublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Southampton 0-1 Everton

Sofiane Boufal is making a difference! The Saints sub forces Jordan Pickford - redundant in the first half - into his first save before bursting at Everton's defence with pace. That's got the locals excited.

Does Lee the Spurs fan (see 15:51) want to come and see what spineless really is? He can borrow my season ticket for Saints next home game. Truly woeful.

West Ham are a shambles. No fight no clue and no shots again.

  7. Postpublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

Harry Winks came on for Tanguy Ndombele at half-time for Tottenham. Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen sits on the bench and waits.

Sheffield United start the second half just like they were in the first - puitting the hosts under pressure. Lys Mousset strikes from the edge of the penalty area but a lunge from Davinson Sanchez does the job and blocks it.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Southampton 0-1 Everton

Will Sofiane Boufal spark some much-needed life into Southampton. The Morocco international is on for Cedric Soares.

  9. Postpublished at 16:03 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

Back under way in our four matches. Is there any way back for West Ham? Can Southampton finally give their fans something to cheer about? Will Tottenham have a shot on target? Will there be a winner at St James' Park?

    Let's find out.

  10. Postpublished at 16:01 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Southampton 0-1 Everton

Unsurprisingly, Southampton are making a change at the start of the second half. Surely they can't be as bad as they were in the first 45 minutes.

Chris Wood's goal celebration after making it 2-0 to Burnley - minutes after having a goal chalked off for an offside by VAR - was to mimic the referee.

    You've got to love it!

  12. Must do better...published at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

Graham Green: Southampton's strategy used to be “strong academy, recruit unknown talent, sell for profit, repeat.” Then it was “out-run three worse teams to avoid relegation.” Looks like they’ve abandoned both strategies in favour of an ignoble rush to the Championship

Decent 45 minutes from the Toon. Looking forward to us stepping up in the second half. I fancy Carroll to come off the bench and score. We turned the corner last week.

    Southampton 0-1 Everton

You were humiliated 9-0 in your last home game.

You are playing a team who are out of form.

And you go and concede after four minutes.

Further more, Southampton have not registered a single shot or corner against Everton.

These are testing times for Ralph Hasenhuttl.

  15. 'It could be an entertaining second half'published at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

I am wondering if Sheffield United can continue with the same intensity. And if Spurs can improve we are in for a really entertaining second half.

Sheffield United really worked hard from the first whistle, they put pressure on Spurs and forced errors.

Spurs have not been comfortable with the type of pressure they have been put under in the first half.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Newcastle 1-1 Bournemouth

Harry Wilson's goal, following a well-worked corner routine, gave the visitors the lead, but that has been cancelled out by DeAndre Yedlin's diving header. All to play for.

Completely spineless from Spurs yet again. Every player to a man has been an embarrassment to the shirt this season.

    Burnley 2-0 West Ham

Only one team has turned up at Turf Moor.

  19. 'Roberto causing more problems than he solves'published at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Burnley 2-0 West Ham

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. You're conceding goals, you're one-nil down, you've just got away with a VAR decision and your goalkeeper throws it to Fabian Balbuena who has his back to the rest of the game, gets it wrong and Burnley take full advantage of it.

Roberto Jimenez has caused more problems than he's solved for West Ham.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2019

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

The visitors have had the better of things, John Lundstram smashed one against the post, while Mauricio Pochettino will be demanding more from his Tottenham side in the second half.
