James: This inconsistency of Manchester United is highly frustrating and is ruining what could be a decent season. January signings, particularly with who is rumoured, is crucial.

This is Man Utd in a nutshell under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, nothing through the middle just chase it down the wings and throw a cross in. We beat city because they attacked us and left themselves open, not down to great midfield play from Utd.

  2. goal

GOAL - Wolves 1-1 Tottenhampublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Adama Traore (67 mins)

Beauty! That's been coming all game long! He's hit and miss isn't he, Adama Traore, but that's a smash hit,

Raul Jimenez shovels the pass out to him on the right, he runs at Jan Vertonghen who backs away, opening up a bit of space and Traore just puts his considerable heft behind the shot and thunders one past Paulo Gazzaniga and in from about 20 yards.

    Clean as a whistle.

Jesse Lingard's birthday run out comes to an end, he's off and proper bona fide youngster Mason Greenwood is on.

Jesse Lingard will soldier on. Twenty-five minutes or so remain.

Ouch! That hit him clear in his face. It was a great strike by Daniel James but it hit Jesse Lingard directly in the face. That has to be really painful. It was such a strong shot and it's really hit him straight in the head. Couldn't have been more pinpoint if he tried. Got to be careful with concussion.

Jesse Lingard has come under fire from a fair few fans on here today and now he gets the ball in the face...

Jordan Pickford actually saves well from Luke Shaw's shot, Daniel James then gets onto the rebound and smashes the shot into Lingard's face.

Not his day. On his birthday as well...

DigitalTee: Why not bring in Foyth to nullify the Traore threat?

Ideozu-Frank Sampson: I think Jose Mourinho should remove Eric Dier and bring on Eriksen. Dier brings and offer nothing this Spurs' team.

  8. CLOSE!published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Wolves 0-1 Tottenham

Spurs are soaking up pressure and occasionally threatening on the counter, and Dele Alli goes pretty close to making it 2-0 with a curler from 20 yards which slides across the face of goal and wide.

David Freedman: Everton are owning United. Subs needed ASAP.

Need a change quickly, get Mata on and Lingard off - there's no creativity in our game.

An excellent booking - Richarlison's touch isn't good enough to keep the ball in play down near the corner flag and in frustration the Brazilian absolutely smashes the ball 40 rows back.

  11. 'Man Utd have to get the ball to James'published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Manchester United 0-1 Everton

Finally Manchester United have released Daniel James down the right to take on Leighton Baines. That will be the last thing he wants as a defender. Baines had two yards on him and he still lost the race. They have to get the ball out to him much earlier and much quicker.

Tom Davies, Everton's only real central midfielder, has rolled his ankle. He'll try and run this off. Can't see many options on Big Dunc's bench...

  14. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Wolves 0-1 Tottenham

Brilliant from Harry Kane, who squares up a defender, nudges it past him and then goes down in a heap again but, just like in the first half, ref Stuart Attwell isn't interested...

Kane doesn't make much protest, to be honest.

Some early second-half pressure from Everton but then the hosts come down the right-hand side, pick out a cross which Michael Keaene can only head to Fred and he slices well wide.

Marcus Rashford then shoots from wide left, puts it into row AA of the Stretford End.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Wolves 0-1 Tottenham

Jan Vertonghen has had a torrid day chasing the shadow of Adama Traore and he's breezed by again, the cross in is just about cleared out and then Raul Jimenez shoots from the edge of the area and Paulo Gazzaniga makes a good low save.

    Relentless!

    Simon Stone

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had the briefest of chats with Duncan Ferguson as the second-half kicked off. Ferguson looked a bit pre-occupied in fairness.

He's got his jacket back on again.

Wolves must be close to scoring soon?! Matt Doherty gets in behind the Spurs defence after a peachy pass into his run, he cuts it back and Paulo Gazzaniga does really well to claim it inside his own six-yard box.

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019
