Paul Clarke: This is the exact kind of game we need a deeper squad for, this team doesn't have the personnel to be creative in possession. Not Oles fault, just don't have those players currently. It takes time to shape a squad.

Lack of Var consistency and poor communication strikes again....Utd hard done by and I'm a city fan!!

Michael Reid: I don't blame Lindelof for the goal, obviously unfortunate... but I'd love to see Tuanzebe alongside Maguire. If Ole isn't playing him, why didn't he let him leave on loan? Too good for the bench!

So typical of United this season. Play amazing on the counter against the top sides and undo the hard work by dropping points against a lesser side. Given the way most sides will play against United you would have thought they would have learnt to play with the ball with tempo.

In all competitions, Arsenal have conceded at least two goals in each of their last three home games – they’ve not done so in four consecutively since December 1965 (a run of five).

I used to hate going to Arsenal because I knew it was going to be a hard day. But at the moment they are coming across a bit of a soft touch. They have lost that attitude.

I'm going to be careful what I say here but China's state broadcaster CCTV has removed today's Arsenal-Manchester City game from its schedule after comments made by Gunners midfielder Mesut Ozil, state media has reported.

Ozil posted on social media about the treatment of Uighur Muslims in China.

Arsenal distanced the club from the German's views, saying it was "always apolitical as an organisation".

The Global Times described , externalOzil's comments as "false" and claimed he had "disappointed" football authorities.

Let's be honest, that goal should have been ruled out. There, I said it.

One game still to come, shall we check in down at the Emirates?

  9. 'Everton got a foothold in the game'published at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Manchester United 0-1 Everton

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC 5 Live

Duncan Ferguson will be absolutely delighted going in at 1-0. It was a great start from Manchester United. They were just as they were in the Manchester derby last week - out of the blocks and creating opportunities. But, then Everton had a foothold, got a bit of composure, got used to the system. David De Gea will be really disappointed that the goal was given by VAR, there could have been a foul on him given.

Everton might be winning but the fitness is poor they look like they have played extra time not just 40 minutes!

I'd love to see the stats, but I'd be surprised if Fred has passed the ball forward this half.

    Manchester United 0-1 Everton

    Michael Brown

With Manchester United we are watching that slow build-up. They need to be a little bit quicker and open Everton up. Play Jesse Lingard in so he can turn and pass to the likes of Martial and Rashford. That's the key for Manchester United. It's just too slow at the minute.

Brilliant from Adama Traore again, who is having one of those spells where he looks almost unplayable. He beats his man again, stands up a dangerous cross and Moussa Sissoko has an ugly hoik at the ball and ends up fortunately looping it back into his own keeper's hands. Could have gone anywhere.

Thomas Knights: A lucky result against City does not hide the flaws that Ole has absolutely no idea how to break down a team that sits deep such as Everton. United's record against the bottom half is pathetic and won't change with Ole's system.

Kaushik Gorai: Nevermind Everton, I am loving Ferguson's body language and attitude at the touch line. It's clear that the fans love him and his team aren't any push overs.

Bringing back bad memories for Steffen Freund.
