    Manchester United 1-1 Everton

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "We are disappointed we could not get a win, we ran out of time. We piled pressure on, had some good finishes but we could not keep going after we got the ball. We know we are going to get teams that are going to make it hard for us and that's something we have to work on."

On Mason Greenwood: "He is a special goalscoring talent. We know he can do that and fitting it happened on this game. We want to see our own come through and develop at the club. Mason has the chance to grow and develop he, he will be a top, top talent."

Silvio: I give up. They don't even try to defend. More than half of the team are at fault in those two goals while don't even trying to do something.

Adnan Alam: Arsenal Shambolic defense. That backline needs a complete overhaul. Please stop trying to play from the back. We don't have the defensive players for it!

    Arsenal 0-2 Manchester City

Arsenal really have to do something about Kevin de Bruyne, he's in space to start another counter attack and it takes four men to stop him before he can get the pass away. A vintage player.

    Arsenal 0-2 Manchester City

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

Emirates Stadium is already a very subdued place. This has been all too easy for Manchester City and, quite frankly, a team that is so wide open to the passing game of Pep Guardiola's side is always going to be in for a very long 90 minutes.

I think Duncan Ferguson has got more chance of making the step up than Freddie Ljungberg has.

  7. Ferguson 'thinks' he will be in charge on Wednesdaypublished at 16:47 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Man Utd 1-1 Everton

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Duncan Ferguson says he 'thinks' he will be in charge of Everton for the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Leicester on Wednesday.

"I am due to see the directors later, I think there will be some kind of statement."

Ferguson says he is buying the Everton hierarchy time with recent results but that club should be getting a top manager in and he has no experience.

  8. goal

GOAL - Arsenal 0-2 Manchester Citypublished at 16:45 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Raheem Sterling (15 mins)

You have to say that is magnificent. What a brilliant team goal.

Rodri has the ball on the edge of his own area and he's pressed by three men, but somehow he finds the eye of a needle to find Phil Foden in space, he immediately plays it forwards to Kevin de Bruyne and Arsenal are all of a sudden bang in trouble.

KDB carries the ball forwards, into the area and then releases it at just the right time to give Raheem Sterling a tap-in.

    Superb.

  9. 'You expect more goals'published at 16:45 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Arsenal 0-1 Manchester City

    Chris Sutton
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

When you think about how could Manchester City are going forwards, you would expect more goals in this game. Arsenal's defensive is so poor, the back line is their weakness and it has not been water tight for some time. It's been well documented.

  10. What techique from De Bruynepublished at 16:45 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Emirates Stadium

Viewed from almost the other end of Emirates Stadium that looked like an out and out thunderbolt from Kevin De Bruyne - viewed again on replay it was an absolute masterpiece of technique, a super-charged side-foot.

Good from Mesut Ozil, getting the ball in space in the number 10 area and Rodri just cleverly steps across and chops him down. Nicolas Pepe then puts in a cross but it's well cleared.

  12. 'Traore and Jota can kill you out of nothing'published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Wolves 1-2 Spurs

    Tottenham Hotspur

More from Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho to BBC Sport: "I think maybe ask Nuno but my feeling is they are fighting for more than they said – with their quality, conditions and ambitions. They are not just there for the top six. They can do more. They are a fantastic team. The coach, players, fantastic team. This is a big victory.

"We controlled the game in periods. It is very difficult to control against them. Traore and Jota can kill you out of nothing.

"The referee was very good. The emotion, crowd, fantastic stadium, intensity, two teams who wanted to win – it was a good game

"We went about a year without winning a Premier League game away and we’ve managed two in a short amount of time. Now we are not looking to bottom of table, we’re looking higher up. This game is a special game because the opponent is a special opponent."

  14. 'The lads are loving it at the minute'published at 16:40 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Manchester United 1-1 Everton

    Everton

Everton defender Michael Keane, speaking to MOTD: "Dunc said before the game that only five times in history we have got a point here so it is a great result for us. We frustrated them and on another day we could have come away with a win.

"He has brought the basics back. We know our shape really well, we are working hard for each other. Getting stuck in and last few games it has worked.

"He is calm but passionate. You can see the pride flowing through him and that brings it out in us, you want to fight for him. The lads are loving it at the minute and long may it continue.

"It is disappointing we conceded. A win would have been massive for us but against Leicester we were 1-0 up at half time and we ended up losing. We said at half time, we wanted to win but if we can't win don't lose it. Leicester really hurt us."

  15. 'We deserved more'published at 16:38 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2019

    Manchester United 1-1 Everton

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, speaking to MOTD: "It is obviously disappointing conceding the goal as we did. They had a five minute spell where we did not get to grips with the game. Another set piece goal that I don't think should have stood but that was it.

"It was given as a goal, we came back with good pressure on them. Great goal by the kid again and we just ran out of time at the end. We couldn't get the goal."

On Mason Greenwood: "He is a goalscorer. He knows where the goal is and just has that knack. He is making it hard for me now. I need to give him more game time. We have just found the right moment for him now, he is stepping up.

"You can't control the result. We dominated, we had 20-odd shots and we conceded from a set piece and they are probably one of the best teams in the league set piece wise. You can always concede a goal against a team like this. I feel we deserved more.

"It has been a fantastic year. Wednesday is apparently a year ago (since I took charge) so we are looking forward to the Colchester game now."

Frustrated, nervous jeers from the Arsenal fans as they give the ball away cheaply and Phil Foden's cross is punched clear. But the hosts have threats of their own going the other way, Gabriel Martinelli again having a shot pushed out by Ederson and Nicolas Pepe's follow-up cannons into a defender.

Everton boss Duncan Ferguson expands a little more on his decision to substitute Moise Kean after just 18 minutes: "I thought he had not quite got into the pace of the game.

"Also, I have so many attackers on the bench I just needed to make a change to waste a bit of time. It is nothing to do with the player."

Asked if he will be speaking to him about it, Ferguson added: "I will do when I see him."

On why Everton's players have responded to him: "Good players working hard. That is what they have done really. The players have been tremendous for me, they have worked hard and put in a shift.

"We had a lot of injuries and sickness but you just have to get on with it, don't you?"

On whether he wants the job full time: "I am quite happy doing what I am doing. I am made up with the couple of games that I did and if I take the next game I take the next game. I am sure the club are looking for the right candidate for the job."

Any indication how long he will be in interim charge for? "No."

On Everton's goal: "I've not seen it back. They have VAR now so if there were any problems they would have chalked it off."
