I said this place would erupt if Wolves got level.

    The noise now is deafening.

I think Nuno was happy with that.

  2. goal

GOAL - Wolves 3-2 Man Citypublished at 89 mins

    Matt Doherty

WOW! Man City's title hopes over?

Matt Doherty slaloms through midfield, links up with Raul Jimenez on the edge of the box - who backheels it in return - and Doherty then curls it into the bottom left corner.

Unbelievable goal and a brilliant comeback by Wolves.

    Wolves 2-2 Man City

Ruben Neves has a go from long range. It's blocked by Nicolas Otamendi, who is winded by the shot.

Wolves' fans are not very sympathetic, booing the defender as they urge their team to hurry up and get a third.

    Wolves 2-2 Man City

Raheem Sterling tries to wiggle his way along the backline and into the box. He's muscled off it and City have to race back to get into a defensive position.

Probably not the smartest thing Benjamin Mendy has ever done. Has he seen Adama Traore's thighs?! They're bigger than me.

Poor defending. I don't know what Benjamin Mendy is doing. He tries to shield the ball from one of the strongest players in the Premier League.

Clear your lines! Adama Traore tells him to get on the weights, throws him off the ball, does well and rolls it in for a simple tap-in.

Defend! That's what your job is, not to take chances.

    Comeback complete.

Time for another for Wolves? There certainly is. At least six minutes and then stoppage time on top.

  8. goal

GOAL - Wolves 2-2 Man Citypublished at 82 mins

    Raul Jimenez

And finally, Man City have cracked.

Benjamin Mendy only has to clear the ball but he messes about, waiting for it to roll out for a goal kick and Adama Traore comes in and nicks it off him.

He slides it across the face of the goal and Raul Jimenez pokes it into the back of the net.

  9. Postpublished at 81 mins

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Bernardo Silva loses out to Matt Doherty in an aerial duel in the Wolves half and immediately turns around and jogs back to get into position.

Around 10 minutes to go for 10-man City to cling on.

  10. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Adama Traore is enjoying himself. He beats one, then two defenders as he drives through the middle, then slips it right.

It's a three-on-two break for Wolves but his team-mates end up getting muddled up in each other's way out wide. Waste.

  11. If Wolves score....published at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2019

If Wolves get an equaliser here, the noise will be incredible.

It was interesting earlier to see Pep Guardiola tell his - new - assistant Rodolfo Borrell to stop shouting at the City players as he was trying to deliver an instruction.

It is only Borrell's second game in his enhanced role following the exit of Mikel Arteta to Arsenal.

  12. CLOSE!published at 77 mins

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

It's another curling ball in from Joao Moutinho. Eric Garcia gets a touch on it at the near post and it almost comes to Romain Saiss at the back but Rodri just about gets there first.

  13. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Eric Garcia makes an important interception as Diogo Jota fires a ball across the face of the six-yard box.

But Man City can't get out. They are pinned in and the Wolves are purring. Raheem Sterling gives away another free-kick on the left.

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Wolves are edging closer and closer.

Ruben Vinagre wins a corner on the left.

  15. CLOSE!published at 74 mins

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Joao Moutinho takes the free-kick and it's an inviting one. There's two or three players going up for it and in the end it's Romain Saiss who gets there first.

He just needs to get it on target but it flies inches past the post. He thought it was in and so did everybody else!

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2019

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

That's his last action too. Ruben Vinagre replaces Jonny for Wolves.

  17. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Jonny's cut-back doesn't beat the first defender but he picks up the deflection and earns a free-kick on the left when he's fouled by Kyle Walker.

  18. CLOSE!published at 70 mins

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

    Adama Traore wants another.

He wiggles one way, then darts the other, cutting inside from the right. He gains a yard to shoot on the edge of the area and he connects well but it's straight at Claudio Bravo.

    "Oooohs" from the home fans.

Kevin de Bruyne is not happy. He saw his number come up and looked over at Pep and was shaking his head. When De Bruyne came off he was still muttering to himself. I find that a strange substitution. You need him on the pitch, he's the one who will create another chance.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Kevin de Bruyne is puffing heavily. He combines with Raheem Sterling as they try to conjure up something before dragging a shot wide.

Pep Guardiola decides that's enough of KDB and on comes Ilkay Gundogan. The Belgian isn't happy about it and has a few words with Pep on his way to the dugout. The boss gives him a sympathetic pat on the head.
