Diogo Jota hustles with Kyle Walker down the left as Wolves win a throw-in. It's immediately switched over to the other side, looking for Adama Traore.

Benjamin Mendy deals with it comfortably.

If an early red card is not going to hamper a side too much, then recent times suggest that that team would be Manchester City.

In Premier League history, only five teams to receive a red card in the opening 12 minutes of a game have gone on to win.

Who was one of them? City in March 2014 against Hull.

Added to that, the Blues have won four of their past five Premier League games when receiving a red card in the first half, drawing the other.

Adama Traore is being doubled up on by City defenders. He still manages to scramble away - just - but his cross from the right is straight into Claudio Bravo's hands.

The keeper is immediately put under pressure afterwards though. He honks a clearance out for a throw-in.

That's the second time he's done that! Not convincing at all.

That was the first song sung against VAR by the Wolves fans.

The second one was basically an expletive.

Former Wolves winger Michael Kightly: "We have seen the best and the worst of VAR in 30 seconds. It is killing the game.

"There was a City player encroaching as well. He was in front of the Wolves player who clears and it is just because he got there first. It had no relevance to where the penalty was going.

    "VAR has got to go."

So, within all that, referee Martin Atkinson handed something over to fourth official Andre Marriner that was thrown from the Wolves end behind Rui Patricio's goal at the celebrating Manchester City players.

    Marriner informed security.

An announcement has just been made to say 'numerous instances of objects being thrown have been seen' and that CCTV will be used to prosecute offenders.

Is there a way back in for Wolves? Man City are still down to 10 men remember.

With right winger Adama Traore being Wolves' danger man, it isn't surprising to see over half of the home side's attacks have come down his flank.

Will that be their best avenue for goalscoring opportunities too?

Tom McQuillen: That is terrible. There is absolutely nothing there?! VAR doesn’t help itself. Nothing clear and obvious about that... that’s why viewing numbers are going down. Sick of this. Never a penalty. Never encroachment. Get out of our beautiful game.

Noel Fitzpatrick: Why the big long discussion between the ref and the VAR officials, it should take 3 seconds to say "it's a penalty!"

Simon Atkins: Wasn't a penalty, and the encroachment was WORSE by the Man City player! Disgraceful from the VAR team. Utterly disgraceful.

I can see why Guardiola has substituted Aguero. You would be devastated when you have just come back from injury but you have to do it for the team.

Pep will want more legs in the team and that isn't Aguero's game anymore, running into channels and holding the ball up.

Aguero didn't look happy but accepted it.
