    Wolves 1-2 Man City

How about this for an exclusive club...

Adama Traore is only the third player to score three goals in a single Premier League season against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

The others? Eden Hazard and Jamie Vardy.

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Leander Dendoncker has a pop from long range and Claudio Bravo makes it look awkward. He just about gathers it in, low to his right.

If I were a Wolves player, I'd be hitting everything and anything at him. He never looks too far from a mistake does he?

  4. Why was the penalty retaken?published at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2019

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Just to clear up a bit of confusion over why Manchester City's earlier penalty, which Rui Patricio saved, was retaken.

Wolves captain Conor Coady (in the white boots) cleared the ball after it rebounded to him and because his foot was on the 18-yard line (and inside the 'D'), that was enough for the VAR to order a retake.

Was that the right decision? Thumbs up for yes, down for no.

Adama Traore teases two defenders on the right and manages to squeeze a cross in. It's controlled by Raul Jimenez but his shot is blocked.

Wolves reset and switch it around again. They are knocking...

I can see Wolves getting an equaliser and even going on to win this game now. Manchester City can't get out of their half.

Ash Williams: Wolves deserve that goal. They actually deserve at least a point from this.

Aashish: Traore's like a runaway freight train bearing down on you , good luck stopping him.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 60 mins

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Man City are not used to being so deep in their own half. And they look like they're feeling the pressure.

Wolves are piling on the pressure and Nicolas Otamendi gives away another free-kick with a crunching tackle on Diogo Jota. He's shown a yellow card immediately but Wolves would have preferred to play on. Raul Jimenez was through!

    Wolves 1-2 Man City

Raul Jimenez is stretching as he wins the header in the Man City box. He can only nod it upwards and Fernandinho has it under control.

The Brazilian faffs around with it though, coming under pressure from Diogo Jota, before Claudio Bravo comes and sorts it out.

    Shambles.

I was screaming at Adama Traore to pass it to Matt Doherty, who was on his outside. But he is full of confidence and drills it into the corner. Game on!

Get the ball to Adama Traore is the general consensus among Wolves players today. He's loving it.

    Adama Traore

Raheem Sterling gives the ball away in his own half and it's slipped into the path of Adama Traore.

He hits it early and it's thumped into the bottom left corner from just outside the box. Wonderful strike!

He loves a goal against Man City.

    Wolves 0-2 Man City

Raul Jimenez picks up a loose ball on the edge of the box and fires a curling effort towards the top right corner.

Fernandinho gets an important touch on it to deflect it wide but Wolves are not given the corner. The fans, who are already booing Martin Atkinson, are incensed!

    Wolves 0-2 Man City

    John Murray
BBC Radio 5 Live commentator at Molineux

City have switched to three central defenders since Eric Garcia came on for Riyad Mahrez. From being 4-4-1 for most of the first half they have released De Bruyne to go forward a little bit more. It is like 5-3-1.

That is a great ball from De Bruyne and the composure and the finish from Sterling is brilliant.

What the champions are doing tonight is giving us an object lesson of how to play a match when your opponents have had a man sent off after 12 minutes.

  15. PENALTY APPEALSpublished at 52 mins

    Wolves 0-2 Man City

Diogo Jota goes down on the edge of the box, appealing for contact from Rodri. Didn't look like much and as play goes on, VAR confirms it's not a penalty.

Moments later, Jota goes down again in the box, this time with Kyle Walker nearby, but VAR says no...

    Raheem Sterling

He's been booed all night but Raheem Sterling has doubled Man City's lead.

Kevin de Bruyne plays him in with an accurate, splitting through ball and Sterling keeps his cool before chipping it over the oncoming Rui Patricio.

  17. Garcia gets his chancepublished at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2019

    Wolves 0-1 Man City

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Molineux

Eric Garcia has made two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Manchester City but he has never played an entire half before.

The defender was warming up for most of the interval and has gone into the middle of a back three.

  18. CLOSE!published at 48 mins

    Wolves 0-1 Man City

Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez link-up so nicely on the edge of the box! Jota plays a one-two with Jimenez and the Mexican chips it superbly over the top of the defenders.

Jota runs onto it, getting there ahead of Claudio Bravo, who is stuck on his line. But he pokes it over the bar!

A change at half time for Manchester City.

Defender Eric Garcia, on for his third appearance in the Premier League, replaces Riyad Mahrez. Interesting.
