    Everton 0-0 Burnley

Everton enjoying lots of possession early on in the second half. Burnley are happy to defend the width of their 18-yard box. The Toffees go left to Bernard and then switch it all the way right for Djibril Sidibe, but there's no way through.

Bernard tries his luck, and his effort is deflected behind.

  2. CLOSE!published at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Chelsea 0-1 Southampton

    Plenty of Chelsea pressure now.

Callum Hudson-Odoi takes aim from the angle of the box but curls his shot onto the roof of the net.

    It had Alex McCarthy worried.

  3. CLOSE!published at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Aston Villa 0-0 Norwich

Norwich are knocking on the door...and hard.

Tom Trybull's header is beaten away by Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

  4. OFF THE LINE!published at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Aston Villa 0-0 Norwich

Won't come any closer to a goal than this.

Villa are unable to clear a corner and Alex Tettey smacks a low shot which is goalbound but Douglas Luiz does brilliantly to make a sprawling clearance which somehow knocks the ball over the crossbar.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 West Ham

Good from Jordan Ayew. The Crystal Palace forward spins away and drives into the West Ham box before firing a low effort on goal from a tight angle. Roberto stands up well to turn it behind.

  6. 'Arsenal's pace is better'published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Bournemouth 1-0 Arsenal

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Arsenal are playing really well just now. If you watched Arsenal early this season, the pace they would play it out from the back, it was slow and sluggish but now, they are zipping it about so much better. They're also closing down high up the pitch as well.

  7. ouch!

    Chelsea 0-1 Southampton

Southampton defender Jan Bednarek is flat out, he has just been smashed in the face by an N'Golo Kante cross.

  8. CLOSE!published at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Chelsea 0-1 Southampton

Southampton nearly get a second at Stamford Bridge.

Nathan Redmond's run cuts open Chelsea at the back, he pulls a cross back which rolls all the way through the six-yard area and Che Adams is waiting for a tap-in, but Fikayo Tomori stretches out a foot to get an all-important touch on the ball and divert it away from goal.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 West Ham

Jordan Ayew is down for Crystal Palace, clutching his face. Think he'll be OK.

Good news for Palace fans and lovers of goals... 73% of the Eagles' goals this season have come in the second half. So hopefully that means we won't be getting a 0-0 draw.

    Hopefully.

Quite something that Arsenal can have so many touches inside the opposition's box (they are attacking the goal at the top of this graphic) and yet not manage a shot on target.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the latest to miss the goal as he bends an effort onto the roof of the net.

  11. 'I like Mount's energy'published at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Chelsea 0-1 Southampton

    Micah Richards
Former England defender on Final Score

Mason Mount is coming on. Frank Lampard sees so much in him, and without Frank I think Mount would be a player that no-one knows much about. Young players are always going to be inconsistent. He has had two or three okay game but I like his energy. He always looks like he is enjoying himself on the pitch.

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

Jay Rodriguez takes the ball down neatly, lets it bounce and then rips a half-volley towards... the corner flag, in fact it trickles out for a throw.

  13. CLOSE!published at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Chelsea 0-1 Southampton

The substitution almost pays immediate dividends at the start of the second half.

Mason Mount shows quick feet and slips a pass through to Tammy Abraham eight yards out, but the England international lacks composure and smashes his shot into the side netting.

Stuart Moss: All the naysayers jumping on Arteta already. He's been given a bag of leftovers and is being expected to produce a 5 star menu with the wrong ingredients.

Zarar Ismail: Arteta's appointment at Arsenal reminds me of Phil Neville at Valencia. We all know what happened there.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:03 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Chelsea 0-1 Southampton

Attacking change from Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.

Kurt Zouma off, Mason Mount on and the back three reshuffles to two centre-backs.

  18. Blankety blank...published at 16:01 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Watford

John Fleck flashes a cross just over the head of John Lundstram as Sheffield United continue to attack in first-half stoppage time. Another chance after John Egan's header.

Little known fact* this Sheffield United side has the most Johns in it than any other team in football history.
