  1. More on that half-time proposal...published at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    HT: Everton 0-0 Burnley

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Goodison Park

We have a half-time proposal at Goodison Park. Toffees fans Christian and Emily take to the middle of the pitch, Christian, armed with the stadium microphone, drops to one knee and asks his partner to marry him.

He gets the answer he is looking for and he celebrates like he’s volleyed in a last-minute winner. The happy couple embrace and Emily is in tears of joy as they walk off the pitch together. Lovely.

    Congratulations to them.

HT: Crystal Palace 0-0 West Ham

There was just one shot on target at Selhurst Park in the first half. And that came from about 25 yards. Crystal Palace probably the slightly better side in the opening 45 minutes. But this game has some going to not find itself sitting last on Match of the Day...

Veggieboi99: It’s Chelsea performances like these that make you realise just how much we relied on Hazard.

Chelsea Warrior: It worries me a lot that Frank has not fangled a system for beating teams that come to Stamford Bridge and sit deep.

Plenty of possession for Mikel Arteta's Arsenal but the Gunners have it all to do after the break.

    Bournemouth 1-0 Arsenal

    Mark Mitchener
    BBC Sport at Vitality Stadium

Plenty for Mikel Arteta to ponder as the rain lashes down on his men in yellow, as the players leave the field.

Arsenal are far from being out of this, and keep creating chances, but need to be more clinical in front of goal.

Sheffield United are finishing the half strongly as John Egan loops a header at goal. It is an easy catch for Ben Foster, though.

Proposal on the pitch at Goodison Park at half-time!

And she's said "yes". But will VAR take a look at this one?

Review over, decision stands, we've got a wedding on the way...

    Ismaila Sarr is going off..

    .. oh no he isn't!

Pure pantomime there as the fourth official comes out with the board ready to indicate Sarr going off and Roberto Pereyra is waiting by the pitch ready to come on but in the end Sarr insists he can continue and instead he trots back onto the pitch.

John Southworth: The value of going out on loan is evidenced by the form of Tamori, Abraham and Mount compared to Hudson-Odoi.

As a Chelsea fan, I wish Abraham all the best in his future career that will doubtless be spent at a club like West Ham. He's interim, certainly not the answer - his first touch is a horror show! Imagine having Diego Costa in front of these young guns....

Sarr's run into the box continues into the advertising hoardings after he got that cross in and he's taken a bit of a nasty whack. He's down receiving treatment at the moment and Roberto Pereyra is getting ready as a precaution...

Djibril Sidibe is livid. You'd think Anthony Taylor robbed his Christmas prezzies.

The Everton defender is convinced Burnley should never had a corner. But then Taylor blows the half-time whistle before the Clarets can take the set-piece anyway and gets an earful from the visitors too...

    All square at the break.

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

As we come towards the half-times here, it's Chelsea who have the biggest problem. They'll need to change things quickly if they don't score before the break. You have to think that one of their centre-backs will have to come off? You can't play with three if you're one nil down at home.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Norwich City

    Micah Richards

Norwich have started well. These are the games where they know they need to pick up points. Aston Villa have not been great in the last few games, they have a few injuries and Norwich know they need to capitalise on that.
