Man Utd manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: "After going 1-0 down we made them make mistakes and we capitalised really well. We created chance against Watford too but we didn't take them. Mason [Greeenwood] is a great striker of the ball. You know he is going to hit the target more times than not. The way he strikes it is nice to see and he is so unfazed by whatever happens.

On Paul Pogba's return to the side: "It is still a bit early for him, he has been out for a long time but he has to get used to being back on a big pitch. We have had some 5-a-side but not with 21 other men on the pitch,. He will get better and better."

On fixture schedule: "It is not fair to ask players to play two games in three days but we just have to get on with it, we are young and mentally strong and that means we will be ready."

Newcastle United

Newcastle goalscorer Matthew Longstaff: "When you come to Old Trafford you can't make as many mistakes as we did. The first 30 minutes we were pretty solid then we make three mistakes and you have a mountain to climb.

"The best thing about today is we have a game in two days time and hopefully we put things right.

Flames. Pyrotechnics and a spectacular light show. It's all a bit rock concert but Leicester City really building the mood ahead of this massive Premier League confrontation with leaders Liverpool.

And soon it will be that familiar loud blast on the huntsman's horn.

The Greatest Show is blasting out over the speakers as flames are fired out pitch side and lights flash around the ground.

If the game itself lives up to this build up then we're in for a thriller.

Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce speaks to Match of the Day: "For the last two or three months we have been hard to beat. I know it's Christmas but I don't think Man Utd can believe it, we've made too many mistakes.

"We had a bright half an hour and threw it away.

"The ridiculous thing is we haven't made mistakes like that for months and now we made one after another. Some made individual errors and as a manager you can't do much about it."

Ar vind: A pivotal game in the premier league title race. A very dangerous banana skin for Liverpool. Leicester at home are dangerous.

Liverpool have been imperious this season, dropping just two points.

Leicester have not been far behind them in terms of excellent form, although they are on a mini-slump of sorts with no wins from their last three games in all competitions following a run of nine successive victories.

If ever there was a time to get back to winning ways, it is tonight.

The big screens at The King Power Stadium have just revisited recent Leicester City triumphs over Liverpool here - and Jamie Vardy was prominent in all of them.

He is the Premier League's top scorer with 17 goals this season and he will know the pressure is all on The Foxes tonight as they start the game 10 points behind leaders Liverpool in second place having played a game more.

If Liverpool come away with a win tonight, surely that is too much for anyone to claw back.
