It's a huge blow for Burnley. We were only just saying here that the Clarets had acquitted themselves well so far this half, limiting Leicester's ability to hurt them.

Tarkowski and Mee were backtracking and gave Barnes too much space. He went round the outside of Mee and beats Pope at his near post with a fantastic strike. We talked about the press from Burnley but that came from Leicester pressure. Praet created that opportunity with good pressure and didn't Barnes take it well.

VAR did check the goal - as it does with every one - and they are happy with the challenge on Cork. Seeing the replay, it looked like he just got a toe to the ball.

Burnley need to look at their reaction to losing the ball as much as trying to pin their hope on a foul that wasn't.

    Harvey Barnes

    Ruthless.

Burnley aren't happy about the moment that set this goal up - a tackle on Jack Cork by Dennis Praet in midfield - but they can only look at themselves and the brilliance of Harvey Barnes for the rest.

With the Clarets caught in transition, Barnes runs at speed, is helped out by a run from Vardy that draws away markers and finds a yard by firing into the net.

He was born in Burnley as well, just to rub salt in the wound.

Chike: I think this game is going to end in a draw and Vardy ending up not scoring. Sorry to all the Premier League managers.

Does Jay Rodriguez really think he's going to beat Schmeichel from that range?

The Burnley striker picks up the ball 30 yards out, holds off his marker before launching an effort that trickles tamely into the keeper's grasp.

Phil Bardsley goes in for a header and falls right over the top of Harvey Barnes. It's a near accidental suplex.

The referee stops the game to check on the Clarets defender, but he is soon back on his feet.

Neither side has taken full control of this game yet. It's a very even contest. Sadly, there's been precious little in terms of clear-cut chances. Or goalmouth excitement full-stop.

Burnley fans are a little bit more lively than they have been in recent weeks. The start is a bit better than what they have had of late. When they show intensity and press Leicester the Burnley fans are really getting behind them. They need to keep that up.

It's all about the second balls for Burnley. They have the muscle up top to challenge for every ball, but the likes of Rodriguez, Westwood and Cork are always on the hunt for a stray ball.

Vardy just oozes class. That's why it's the best league in the world. And I'm an Arsenal fan!

As a rule, speaking to the Premier League referees, if you are in the six-yard box as a goalkeeper and it is a ball you are expected to come and get and there is contact you will get the foul. When you go wandering off to try to get the ball - that's when you don't get the foul.

Maddison's delivery is good for the second corner, but Nick Pope stays strong to punch away under pressure.

How many times has that long ball over the top for Vardy paid off?

It wins Leicester a corner as the striker gets a touch before being tackled. Evans heads the resulting delivery and forces Burnley to concede another.

Burnley fans aren't happy. Chris Wood looks to have chested the ball down for a shot, but before he can pull the trigger play is halted for a shove by the striker into the back of his marker Jonny Evans.

Wood isn't happy, the home fans aren't happy, Evans is relieved.

The Burnley pressure continues. Another corner is swung in by Dwight McNeil's left boot but Kasper Schmeichel is getting pushed as he tries to punch and gets a free-kick.

A booking would have been harsh there. Cork pulled out of the challenge and didn't make any contact. Praet just jumped to avoid him for self preservation.

Everyone knows Burnley are a threat from set-pieces.

Harvey Barnes gives away a free-kick wide right that is nodded away from Ben Mee in the box for a corner.

A combination of Kasper Schmeichel and some solid defensive work sees off the threat.

Jack Cork gets a ticking off from referee Anthony Taylor after sliding in to take down Dennis Praet. It looks nasty on first viewing, but replays show the Leicester man went down through evasive action as much as any contact.

It was just a simple run through two centre-halves by Vardy and it was a good ball through. Pope came out, wasn't going to get there but managed to stop early enough to not make contact with Jamie Vardy. It opened up but Maddison was not able to make the most of it. Good defending by Mee in the end to nullify the threat.
