  1. 'A distinct lack of quality'published at 14:13 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December 2019

    Everton 0-0 Arsenal

    Andy Reid
Ex-Nottingham Forest and Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

There's a distinct lack of quality. We could probably play for three days and there wouldn't be a goal.

I'm hoping for a bit of quality so we get a goal but I don't think that's going to happen to be honest.

Daniel Cheng: As bad as the game has been today we might actually get a clean sheet away from home! When was the last time this happened?

Jack Tanner: Duncan Ferguson surely has highest % for subbing off subs.

Robbie Kahar: Big Duncan has no chill...

Ricky Nelson: No credit bring given that Arsenal playing four (now five) players 20 or younger? And no left-back?

Michael Reid: Arsenal have two players worth £110m not even warming up, in a game that's surely a must win. Why?

This game sounds so bad I'm actually looking for a pub to see for myself!

    Jabo, London

The only excitement I'm getting from this game is watching Arteta and Ancelotti reacting to each pass in the stands.

Two shouts of handball, neither of them given. The one from the corner would have been a harsh one to give. But our two pundits clearly think Arsenal got lucky with the Calvert-Lewin shot that hit Torreira.

  15. 'Arsenal get away with one'published at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December 2019

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 live

It looks to me like it hit Lucas Torreira's hand there. I think Arsenal have got away with one.

  16. 'I think it was a penalty'published at 13:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December 2019

    Everton 0-0 Arsenal

    Andy Reid
Ex-Nottingham Forest and Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

People are trying hard out there, trying to make things happen but it's all a bit scrappy.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin's shot looks like it's hit Lucas Torreira's arm there - I think it was a penalty.

    Everton 0-0 Arsenal

Everton almost manage to break the deadlock, half through their own good play, half through an absolute lottery of touches in the box. Some neat play sets up the chance for Dominic Calvert-Lewin but after his shot is blocked it pinballs off a series of players (maybe even an arm?) before going behind.

From the resulting corner, there are calls for handball, but I'm not sure it was.

James Ash: The absolute state of these two great clubs. Arteta’s heart must have broken twice by now.

Luisa: I’m not able to watch or listen to this match but judging by my Twitter feed I’m gonna take a punt and say Arsenal aren't not going to be first on Match of the Day.
