Danny Ings puts pressure on Nick Pope but the keeper does well to hoof it long. Burnley win possession back in their own half and Charlie Taylor will take the throw-in.

Pierre-Emile Hojberg lifts a ball over from the left and Kyle Walker-Peters had made the run towards the far post.

Nick Pope reads it and gathers it in safely.

Kyle Walker-Peters has struggled on his debut so far but he does well here to beat Dwight McNeil with some skill before he's hooked from behind and wins a free-kick in midfield.

Nice bit of possession from Southampton on the right, as Stuart Armstrong cuts in and links up with Danny Ings, who is stood with his back turned on the edge of the box.

Ings flicks it on first time, hoping James Ward-Prowse had made the run in behind but he hadn't. It rolls straight out for a goal kick.

Boufal has looked a real threat. He's the one who's been lively and been causing Burnley problems. It's a huge blow for Southampton.

Stuart Armstrong gets into space on the right but his cross is poor and fails to beat the first man.

Burnley try to break as Ashley Westwood manages to poke it through to Matej Vydra. The substitute's shot is tame and it's a comfortable save for Alex McCarthy. Ryan Bertrand then makes a crucial interception to concede a throw-in on the right.

Jannik Vestergaard tries to lift one over the top for Shane Long but the Saints striker is just offside.

At the other end, Jay Rodriguez slips it through to Matej Vydra but Vestergaard comes across to clear in the box.

James Ward-Prowse muscles Jack Cork off the ball in midfield and the Burnley midfielder reacts hastily, sliding in from behind and taking out Ward-Prowse' legs.

He gets a telling off but no booking. Bit lucky!

Kyle: Brilliant finish from Danny Ings. With injuries to Rashford and Kane and with the form Ings is in. He has every chance of making it to the England squad for Euro 2020. I am amazed teams like Spurs and Manchester United never tried to sign him.

Danny Ings is also the second player to score at least 15 goals in Southampton's first 26 matches of a Premier League season, after James Beattie (16 in 2002/03). Beattie went on to net 23 PL goals in that campaign, a Saints PL record for a 38-match season.
