Oooh, this wasn't too far off!

Phil Bardsley drills a dangerous ball into the box which an unmarked Jay Rodriguez, sliding, can't quite reach.

    Southampton 1-1 Burnley

    Stephen Warnock

Danny Ings is just one of those players that can make something happen from nowhere. It's instinctive, it's just shifting it the side and bending it round, it's a great finish. He's just getting better and better.

Uh-oh. It's got worse for Burnley. Chris Wood has pulled up. It looks like his hamstring might have gone. He's off!

They are down to 10-men for a few minutes while Sean Dyche gets a sub prepared.

  5. 'A great finish'published at 12:49 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2020

    Southampton 1-1 Burnley

Former Blackburn midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think it is Ben Mee trying to step out, he should have just cleared this lines. It's a great finish.

If he's not in the next England squad, he's got no chance of getting back in there.

    Danny Ings

Normal service resumes as Danny Ings is involved in a goal at the right end!

It's brilliant from the striker, who gets the ball on the edge of the box after some nice play involving Sofiane Boufal.

Ings cuts onto his right foot, gains a yard then places it perfectly into the bottom right corner and out of reach of Nick Pope.

That's his 15th league goal of the season. On fire!

Dwight McNeil gets forward down the left wing and picks out Jay Rodriguez with a curling cross.

The striker can only nod it into the keeper's hands.

  8. 'Burnley looking comfortable'published at 12:46 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2020

    Southampton 0-1 Burnley

    Steven Reid
Former Blackburn midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

The conditions are playing a massive part in this. Southampton have got good control of the game, most of their play is going centrally with their wide men cutting in and the full backs getting forward. Burnley are looking comfortable though.

They defend so well and don’t let you have any space in between the lines and they’ve got Jay Rodriguez and Chris Wood to cause you problems up front.

What is the point of a goalkeeper standing behind his line? McCarthy just as much at fault for that goal as Ings

Jack Lovatt: Good to see Danny Ings showing the utmost respect and loyalty to a former club at that corner!

Jannik Vestergaard faffs on the ball in his own half and is robbed by Jay Rodriguez. He's a little too far out to shoot so takes a touch and ends up losing possession.

Ashley Westwood floats a deep free-kick in, which is perfectly controlled by James Tarkowski. He delays the cross and Southampton are able to clear.

Chris Wood's cross then flies out for a goal kick, before the wind helps Kyle Walker-Peters' delivery do the same at the other end.

    Southampton 0-1 Burnley

    Steven Reid

Everyone is just a bit confused, even Sean Dyche looked confused. Danny Ings has got to deal with it, he thought it was hitting the side netting. He has absolutely done Alex McCarthy.
