  3. 'We had that losing feeling and don't want it again'published at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2020

Liverpool v West Ham (20:00 GMT)

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been having a chat with Sky Sports too.

On the defeat by Atletico Madrid: "It's important, from time to time, you have to feel it. There's no real use for it apart from using it the right way. We had that feeling and we don't want to have it again.

On the injuries to Jordan Henderson and James Milner: "It's a massive blow for us obviously, because the two guys are our speaker on the pitch, they make sure everyone is really serious about what we're doing. We have to share that now. Naby is a highest-quality player, and we hope he can help us tonight.

"We played West Ham two or three weeks ago and they were already in a difficult situation, I think. You see with the line-up tonight, it's quite an offensive line-up, so they will go for the three points and we have to make sure that does not happen."

  4. 'A massive game for both teams'published at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2020

Liverpool v West Ham (20:00 GMT)

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp talking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "It is a massive game for both teams. It's only two or three weeks since we played them which is strange. It'll be a completely different game, the situation has changed for West Ham since then.

"They may have changed to a back four, maybe not, Declan Rice may play at centre-back. They've got three up there too, so they want to win, we have to make sure that doesn't happen.

"It's not Jurgen Klopp v David Moyes, it's two pretty good teams playing against each other and we have to show how much it means to us. If we show respect, a good attitude and the desire then we have a good chance. If not, then West Ham can win the game. We have to make sure we have the right mindset."

Liverpool v West Ham (20:00 GMT)

West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski: “I think it’s a great challenge for us. It’s a great opportunity.

"It’s another game you can gain three points in, and I think we should look at it in this way.

“It’s going to be a very difficult game. They’re unbeaten and I think they’ve only drawn one game throughout the whole season, so we know that it’s going to be very hard, but this is the Premier League.

“You’ve seen many different stories happen in the history of this country and league, so we just have to be up for it and make sure we deliver a good performance.”

West Ham right-back Jeremy Ngakia is the 19th player to make his first two Premier League appearances against the same side.

But only one man has ever made exactly two Premier League appearances against the same side and then never played in the top flight again.

Adam Newton - also for West Ham - played twice against Coventry City in 1999-2000 before dropping down the leagues.

You spent all that money on Jarod Bowen, he's got the engine, the tenacity and the fitness to get up and back and get up with Antonio. Last week they just didn't have anyone to get up there with Antonio. He needs someone up there with him for a little bit of support.

Bowen will be sat on the bench thinking 'what am I doing here?'

West Ham fans are staging protests against the club's owners tonight but they give the team a huge ovation as they go to warm up in front of the Anfield Road visitors' section.

David Moyes is out there watching them warm up - and has shown a couple of decent touches returning some stray passes from the Liverpool players as they go through their paces in front of the Kop.

The protests have started though with banners unfurled by West Ham fans reading "Karren Brady - You're Fired", "Sullivan - This Charmless Man". And "Run Like A Circus Owned By Clowns".
