Can I applaud Fabinho right now for getting back up? There are plenty of players that would have rolled around on the floor trying to get their opponent booked there. Well done Fabinho.

The first save of the game I believe. Mohamed Salah cuts inside from the left wing and curls in an excellent 20-yard shot which Lukasz Fabianski does well to tip over.

The only way I expected West Ham to get an opportunity was from a set-piece. The delivery you get from Robert Snodgrass is fantastic. Issa Diop was smothered by players but he’s got the desire to get there but it’s another very good delivery.

    Issa Diop

West Ham are level almost immediately. West Ham have a corner which Liverpool put behind to deny Tomas Soucek.

And from the following corner, the Hammers score. it's another header and more questionable goalkeeping.

Issa Diop gets his head to Robert Snodgrass' corner at the near post and heads it down low and powerfully. Alisson gets a touch but he can't keep it out.

Lukasz Fabianski will be disappointed. He got his hands to it, it's a good header, but he'll be thinking he should probably be keeping it out.

West Ham keeper Lukasz Fabianski should have done better with that header really. It's not been a great start for him.

You have to say it's a good finish. Every Liverpool player didn't run to the goalscorer, they ran to the man who put a cross in. What a cross that is from Trent Alexnder-Arnold, there is no angle to do that, that is genius. A brilliant cross.

    Georginio Wijnaldum

    Liverpool lead.

Roberto Firmino's very optimistic shot is blocked and goes out to Trent Alexander-Arnold on the right wing. The young defender looks up and finds Georginio Wijnaldum with the cross and the Dutch midfielder stoops to head the ball past the keeper.

Good play by Felipe Anderson to feed Michail Antonio down the left. Antonio is going to be a lonely man up front for West Ham today. He eventually commits a foul and Liverpool have a free-kick.

The problem that West Ham have got is every Liverpool player is dangerous and can cause you problems. The full-backs with the crosses, Virgil van Dijk from corners, the three midfielders all score and the front three. I think teams are just grateful Alisson doesn't get over the half-way line.

    Liverpool 0-0 West Ham

Huge scare for West Ham. Angelo Ogbonna's backpass asks too many questions of Lukasz Fabianski, who is closed down by Sadio Mane as he clears. The kick hits the legs of Mane and - luckily for West Ham - goes wide.
