"Portugal had problems from the first minute of the game, were not prepared to deny Germany's strengths and they were unable to correct the problem.

"Despite having gone ahead, Portugal could have done better. It improved after the substitutions and the departure of Gosens but the result was already done.

"The final 15 minutes of the first half and the initial ten of the second were very difficult for Portugal. The Germans had more quality and were smarter."

Diogo Jota pulled a goal back for Portugal, but the Germans were not to be denied.

Robin Gosens was probably the man of the match and got a deserved goal for Germany's fourth...

Germany, without a centre forward, turned the game around helped by own goals from Ruben Dias and Raphael Guerriero...

It was that man again who gave Portugal the lead...

Germany really went for it at the start, they got out the blocks quickly. Then they was hit with a sucker punch by an unbelievable counter attack,

Then Germany responded brilliantly, got the goal at the right time to make it 1-1 and then they never looked like they was going to lose the game. They played some brilliant football.
