Trying my hardest not to think about what happened the last time an England full back scored their first ever international goal after only a couple of minutes in a major competition...

    Tom, Sheffield

Luke Shaw started that move with excellent tight control and composure to exit from the touchline deep in his own half before ghosting in at the back post at the other end seconds later.

    Andrew, Lisburn.

I know there are others with more goals but with his assists and now a goal in the final, Shaw has to be in contention for man of the tournament.

What a brilliant goal that is!

You can see here, he started the move Luke Shaw with some real composure, the ball from Harry Kane was crisp, but the pick out from Trippier to his opposite side is right on the money.

He has just got to hit the target, he hits it down into the ground and there is nothing Donnarumma can do about that.

One minute and fifty seconds. Oh, it's only the fastest ever goal in a Euros final.

It's Luke Shaw's birthday tomorrow. It's him dishing out the present, though.

    Luke Shaw

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!!!!!

    What just happened?!!

England break from the corner and spread it wide to Kieran Trippier. He weighs it up and floats a cross to the back post for Luke Shaw to fire in a volley off the inside of the post.

I swear I just felt the country bounce.
