Tell you what, that match ball is a nifty little driver.

I think it's going be extremely tight. Neither team will want to give anything away early and I think if Gareth can get his team level from 65 minutes, he can risk the ammunition on the bench.
I think it might go all the way. I hope I'm wrong because I don't think our nerves can take it but I think its going to be a long night.

BBC. you've tipped me over the emotional edge! I'm in tears already!

I have absolute faith in the boys, but England don’t like doing tournament finals the easy way. I hope this time is different. Football World Cup 1966 - extra time win Rugby World Cup final 2003 - extra time drop goal to win Cricket World Cup final 2019 - super over
Rory, Devon
Good Luck to the England Football Team - You're AMAZING! And I've never been a football fan...but this tournament has had me hooked. Thank you for bringing the country together and putting smiles on everyone's faces. Best wishes.

Wembley in unison for the English national anthem. That's the singing done. On with the playing.

Boos for the Italian national anthem. The Italians give it so much gusto, they're in danger of drowning the boos out.
Leonardo Bonucci is snarling.

You have got to manage your nerves. You do genuinely get nervous at this time but it is good to get nervous. But you have got to try and maintain that normal routine you have been doing day in, day out in years gone by.
This won't slip by these players. The moment they step out there and the roar goes up that will be what they need.
Italy v England (20:00 BST)
And not long after, England join them. Here we go. Strap yourselves in.

They can go and create history. That's how much it means to them and to all of us. So much expectancy. I want them to go out there and try and play without any fear. They've done that for all of this tournament. One. More. Game from greatness. Go and do it boys.

Here come the Italians. Plenty of boos greet them.

When people were questioning whether Sterling should have been in the starting XI because of his form for Manchester City, Gareth stuck with him. He was brave in that decision but boy has he repaid him.
He has been England's go-to player and I think in that Denmark game he was as good as I have seen him. He was unplayable and we're hoping for more of the same tonight.

I think a key thing is, especially for the young players. Yes [Raheem Sterling] is playing well but one of the biggest things is his mental strength, his resilience.
He is genuine world class but when there is a set back he doesn't sulk he looks for solutions. He is meticulous about his preparations and his recovery and the reward he is getting out on the pitch is because of those things.

When I played in the 2009 Euro final we were up against Germany, it was the fear of failure. We knew that Germany team was superior to us. This is an England team that has done so much work at St George's Park.
They are going into this game with a belief - it's not a pressure, it's not this fear - That they can actually go out there today and perform and win.

The atmosphere there looks special. Let's hope it can be enough to spur the England team on to bring it home!!! Haaaands....l Touching hands...

Just found out that the referee, Bjorn Kuipers, refereed the U19 World Cup final in 2017 that England won. A lucky omen?

I want England to start like the red arrows.
We have to be smart about it and stay in the game. Remember that we got the bench, our bench is significantly better. Just stay in it and bring on the super subs at one point.

Red Arrows. Get in!
Dancers doing there thing around a big Euros trophy. Yeah, sure.
Actually, that swirly effect around the trophy is pretty good.
