Remember Sam Astley who missed England's semi-final win over Denmark so he could donate stem cells?

Well he's on his way to Wembley with girlfiend Beth.

They are being chauffeured to the game in style and are being put up in a five-star hotel.

Sam, from Sedgley in the West Midlands, watched the semi-final from his hospital bed, saying donating stem cells was "more important than any football game".

Euro 2020 sponsor Vivo said it wanted to thank Sam for "his selfless lifesaving donation" and had arranged for him and his girlfriend to attend the final as its guests.

"We hope that both of them enjoy the experience," it added.

    Italy v England (20:00 BST)

British cyclist Mark Cavendish expects a "tense" final at Wembley tonight.

Like England, Cavendish has had quite a week after he equalled Eddy Merckx's record of 34 Tour de France stage wins.

“We've got a real multinational team here at Deceuninck-Quick Step and my roommate is Italian," said Cavendish, who is currently tackling the Tour's 191.5km-long stage 15.

“I think it'll be quite tense but as with all the national games I'll be rooting for them [England]. I've got friends in the national team. It’s special. I'm proud of where I'm from and I'll be rooting for them.”

"I feel like Gareth Southgate has got such an exceptional level of emotional control and he doesn't allow the players to get carried away and to retain the focus but he also allows them to enjoy the moments.

"There's no harm in going crazy after game in the semi-final. England teams in the past I think would have been afraid to enjoy too much because they were scared of losing their focus.

"There's a huge amount of balance and trust and from the outside the culture in the team looks that strong that if a player steps out of line in anyway or doesn't do his job to contribute towards the team that he will feel incredibly guilty and accountable for that and that's a sign of how strong they are.

"Gareth [Southgate] is like the glue to the team and there are a lot people that have not had a mention from his staff but will be doing heaps of work in order to get the player ready mentally and physically to fulfil their dreams.
