  1. goal

GOAL Kilmarnock 0-1 Celticpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Odsonne Edouard

It's a tremendous goal from Celtic, it really is. Jeremie Frimpong starts the move by flicking the ball past Niko Hamalainen and racing down the right flank. His cross is deflected into the path of Odsonne Edouard, who somehow controls the ball dead on the turn, dummies the ball past Alan Power and slides the ball across goal into the net. Lovely stuff.

  2. CLOSE!published at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Celtic

It's another huge opportunity for Celtic to open the scoring. Odsonne Edouard picks up the ball in the box and holds off four Kilmarnock players before rolling the ball to Callum McGregor. The midfielder takes a touch, nicks the ball past Stuart Findlay but rifles his shot from close range wide.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Motherwell

It's been a drab first 20 minutes at Pittodrie, but Motherwell come within a whisker of opening the scoring on the counter.

Mark O'Hara breaks down the right and rolls a neat ball in to the path of Christopher Long.

The in-form striker takes it in his stride, gallops into the box and drives low across Joe Lewis, who makes a good save.

  4. CLOSE!published at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Ross County 0-0 Hearts

A mix-up at the back almost gifts Ross County the opener.

John Souttar tries to head it back to his goalkeeper Joel Pereira, but County forward Billy McKay gets in between the two of them and flicks the ball towards goal, but it bounces the wrong side of the far post.

    Alex Gogic

Hamilton are rewarded for their enterprising start as Alex Gogic rises above Vykintas Slivka to head home at the back post from a corner.

Cross balls have been an Achilles heel for Hibs all season.

    Aberdeen 0-0 Motherwell

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

Nothing too much to report, from time to time it's been fast and furious but no chances at all from either side. Very evenly matched this one at Pittdorie.

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Livingston 0-0 St Johnstone

Shouts from the St Johnstone fans for a penalty as Michael O'Halloran is floored by a challenge from Ciaron Brown at the edge of the box,and the winger falls into goalkeeper Robby McCrorie who was also applying pressure, but referee Euan Anderson waves play on.

  8. CLOSE!published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Ross County 0-0 Hearts

Ross County try a slick move off the training ground that almost opens the scoring.

Blair Spittal has the chance to shoot from a free-kick, but instead opts to pass it out wide. While the bemused Hearts defenders wonder what he's up to, the midfielder races into the box unmarked, gets a free header onto the cross, but puts it just over.

  9. CLOSE!published at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Celtic

Now a scare for Celtic as the ball slides just past the post as they fail to deal with an in swinging corner. Nicke Kabamba was close to getting on the end of the cross, too.

  10. 'Huge opportunity' missed for Celticpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Celtic

    Michael Stewart
Former Scotland midfielder on BBC Sportsound

I'm looking at Leigh Griffiths and his reactions are quicker than anyone else, I thought all day long he's going to get it. Very poor defending from Stuart Findlay to wait for Koprivec because to me, it looked as thought Griffiths was always going to get to the end of it - there's then the suggestion Griffiths was brought down. Edouard misses a huge opportunity to roll the ball into the back of the net.

  11. CLOSE!published at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Celtic

It's another fantastic chance for Celtic. A hopeful ball over the top looks to be sailing into the arms of Kilmarnock's Jan Koprivec, but the goalkeeper and Stuart Findlay hesitate and allow Leigh Griffths to get his head on the ball. Koprivec clatters into the striker and then the rebound falls to Odsonne Edouard, who can't roll his shot into an empty net.

A terrible miss. There's some suspicion of a foul on Griffiths by Koprivec there, too...

  12. Buddies lose captain Magennispublished at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Rangers 0-0 St Mirren

An early blow for St Mirren as captain Kyle Magennis is taken off on a stretcher, with Ilkay Durmus coming into midfield in his place.

  13. Postpublished at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Hibernian 0-0 Hamilton Academical

The visitors are certainly in the mood, charging forward at every opportunity. Hibs look rattled by the early intensity from the Accies.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:54 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Celtic

From a corner, Jozo Simunovic bullets a header towards the top corner, only for Kilmarnock goalkeeper Jan Koprivec to leap into action to push the ball clear.

  15. Postpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Motherwell

First chance of the game at Pittodrie, as the towering Ash Taylor rises highest to nod an Aberdeen corner over the crossbar.

  16. Postpublished at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

Ross County 0-0 Heart of Midlothian

Hearts begin on the attack, but after losing possession outside the County box they are cut apart so easily by a long ball forward to home forward Billy McKay, who scampers away from a static defence but his shot is straight at goalkeeper Joel Pereira.

  17. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Celtic

There was a good opportunity for Leigh Griffiths to get his name on the scoresheet for the second game in a row. He's played clean through, touches the ball round defender Stuart Findlay, only to lose his footing inside the area.

    Aberdeen v Motherwell (19:45)

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

Just one point splits these two in the race for third. They are a long way behind the top two and a long way in front of the rest.

While nothing will be decided at Pittodrie tonight, the outcome could provide a few serious pointers towards who will prevail over the course of the campaign.

Having produced one of their performances of the season against the Steelmen – a 3-0 win at Fir Park in October – Aberdeen will be confident about their chances of grasping the opportunity to leapfrog their opponents on home turf tonight.

  20. McInnes supports Saturday night gamespublished at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2020

    Aberdeen v Motherwell (19:45)

Aberdeen are eager to move their March meeting with Hibernian to a Saturday night so more fans can attend and enhance the Pittodrie atmosphere.

Although no deal has been struck yet, manager Derek McInnes is supportive of the idea.

"We have got all the football in the Northeast - junior football, kids football, amateur football - on a Saturday afternoon," he told BBC Radio Scotland.

"It does have an impact. So the people who probably want to come here the most are playing or involved in the game. It's something we'll be keen to try and do, but a lot of people need to agree to it."

Good idea? Thumbs up or thumbs down below...
