  1. Pop shots at Pereira?published at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    Falkirk 0-0 Hearts

Hearts are having the majority of possession, but they have to be wary of Falkirk, who are averaging almost two goals a game in the league this season.

Hearts have conceded six in their last two, and 'keeper Joel Pereira has come in for criticism as a result.

On this surface, it might be worth having a few efforts from distance.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 23 mins

Sean Clare's now the one in the book for a foul on Declan McManus.

It's the first time Falkirk have got something in the box - but Hearts, despite having a lot of possession, aren't going anywhere with it. They're not shifting the ball fast enough. Falkirk's gameplan is going to a tee just now

  4. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 19:40 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    Falkirk 0-0 Hearts

    The Falkirk fans aren't happy.

Another Hearts player goes down in the box, and once again John Beaton not interested.

It was Steven Naismith, and it looked very soft. Stay on your feet lads, even in these conditions.

  5. CLOSE!published at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    Falkirk 0-0 Hearts

Nice interplay by Hearts on the left-hand side. Ben Garuccio whips the ball across the face of goal but no takers. The visitors look slick despite the conditions.

It's been a good start from Falkirk - been very comfortable so far. Hearts will get the joy in the wider areas, but Falkirk might find joy too - Dikamona hasn't played a lot of football, Smith has been out for week as well, and Halkett hasn't hit the form he was in at Livingston

  7. ouch!

    Ouch!published at 19:34 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    Falkirk 0-0 Hearts

Gary Miller, who has just been booked, looks to have accidentally stepped on Sean Clare's head.

John Beaton doesn't deem it worthy of any punishment.

  8. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 19:30 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    Falkirk 0-0 Hearts

Half-hearted Hearts appeals for a penalty. Steven Naismith tees up Ben Garuccio just inside the box, but goes down from a shove in the back. Nothing given.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    Falkirk 0-0 Hearts

Gary Miller is into the book very early for a foul on Sean Clare.

A long 84 minutes for him to play with that against his name.

    Falkirk v Hearts (19:21)

Falkirk famously humiliated Hearts in 2003, winning 4-0.

Collin Samuel scored a hat-trick that day.

Could Falkirk cause another upset today?

  14. Sammon starts against former club, Souttar out as Hearts make four changespublished at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    Falkirk v Hearts (19:21)

Falkirk have made just one change to the team that drew 1-1 away at Stranraer last week, with Conor Sammon, who spent three years at Hearts, replacing David McMillan. Louis Longridge is on the bench for the hosts.

January signing Ben Hall is cup-tied and unavailable to play after appearing for Partick Thistle earlier in the competition.

The good news for Hearts is Michael Smith is back in the squad. The bad news for Hearts, is that John Souttar has picked up another injury. Hearts' official Twitter account have described it as 'an ankle knock'. Hopefully it's nothing too serious for the young Scot. Clevid Dikamona takes his place at the back.

They've made three other changes to the side that lost 3-2 to Kilmarnock on Wednesday. In come Smith, Ben Garuccio and Conor Washington. Aidy White, Euan Henderson and Lewis Moore all drop out.

Toby Sibbick is out with an illness, while Aaron Hickey remains on the sidelines.

  17. Welcome back...published at 18:59 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    Good evening.

A big one at Falkirk Stadium tonight with a place in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals on the line.

Hearts could really do with a cup run – Daniel Stendel’s not had the easiest time of it since replacing Craig Levein.

They’re bottom of the Scottish Premiership and though they’ve lost just one of their last six, winning is not a feeling the Hearts fans are used to over the past year or so.

On paper, a trip to face a team two divisions below should help that, but they’re up against a Falkirk side who aren’t used to losing this season.

  19. 'The weather spoiled the game' - Robinsonpublished at 17:42 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    FT: St Mirren 1-1 Motherwell

St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin: "You saw two sets of players really going for it, but we have to do it all over again unfortunately, which I’m sure both teams could do without given the busy fixture schedule. There wasn’t a great deal in the game, it was probably fairly even."

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson: "It was horrendous. Credit to the players for trying to keep playing. A draw was probably a fair result considering the conditions. We had a lot of chances to win it, but the weather spoiled the game in terms of the quality at times."

  20. 'Frustration mimicked by players' - Devlinpublished at 17:40 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2020

    FT: Aberdeen 0-0 Kilmarnock

Aberdeen defender Mikey Devlin says the players are just as frustrated as the fans, after boos at full-time from the Pittodrie support.

"That frustration you can hear from the fans is mimicked by the players," Devlin tells BBC Scotland.

"You get frustrated at yourself on how you're performing and we know the fluidity isn't there at the moment.

"The overall emotion from today is frustration. I don't think we allowed Kilmarnock many chances but we aren't creating enough. That final ball or pass needs to be better."
