Mbwana Samatta goes down on the edge of the box as he is picked out by Jack Grealish. Referee Craig Pawson says no foul and VAR has a little look but agrees with the on-pitch decision. Samatta did go down too easily.

Mistake by Willy Boly as he tries to clear a long ball into the box. The ball squirms loose and Mbwana Samatta is onto it but he is unable to take advantage as he is quickly crowded out before he can decide what he wants to do.

Conor Hourihane fires a free kick towards the far post for Aston Villa, trying to catch Tyrone Mings' run but Rui Patricio is alert and moves quickly to punch clear.

Wolves on the hunt from the restart as Diogo Jota's cross from the left is blocked before Joao Moutinho whips a ball to the far post but Neil Taylor lets it run out of play.

Back under way at Villa Park with no changes for either side.

The players are back out for the second half.

Oh my word! Dreadful, dreadful error by Orjan Nyland as he just throws the ball straight to Diogo Jota but the Wolves man drives a shot over.

Nyland got away with that one. Not sure how he managed to fluff up that throw so badly.
