Yep Brighton are at Carrow Road for the lunchtime game on Saturday. Norwich don't quite need snookers just yet but the Seagulls can put them in a really tricky position back in baulk with a win there.

  4. 'We go to Norwich to fight'published at 22:32 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Brighton 0-3 Man Utd

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter tells Sky Sports: "We played against a really good side tonight, Manchester United were the better team and they had some quality. Our response in the second half was really good and maybe deserved a goal but the better team won. I am proud of how the players stuck at it and kept going.

"We got killed on the counter-attack for the third goal but we had some good play but against United you are always on the stretch. It is a tough evening for us but one we will take a lot from and learn from it.

"We always look at ourselves to try and improve and they are as good as anyone we have played this year. It is hard to contain but a positive performance in the second half.

"We knew before the game where we are at and the fight we have got, that does not change anything. We go to Norwich to fight."

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on BBC Radio 5 Live: "It's a joy to watch them when you see them express themselves like that.

"The confidence comes from perormances and knowing they've done the right things leading in to the restart. They worked hard during the lockdown and we know we have loads to play for.

"The third goal was a great team goal. To see so many players sprinting forward to get on the end of it was fantastic. A great finish by Bruno Fernandes.

"Paul Pogba was top. He got hold of the ball, sprayed it, won headers. He's just going to get better and better."

  6. '99% not enough'published at 22:25 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to BBC Sport: "They have reason to be confident because they are playing fantastically. There is quality in that team, our players are fit and we have competition for places now.

"We know Mason Greenwood can score goals like this but he is getting stronger, lockdown helped him. He had time to fill out and you can see the benefit from it. He will be exciting to follow.

"I've got more than one gamechanger, we have some top players and Bruno has come and been fantastic. He has brought that winning mentality with him, that 99% is not good enough - it has to be 100%."

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to Sky Sports: "The boys played some exceptional stuff. Mason's first goal was brilliant and he played fantastically. He's a special kid, we know when he gets faced up he looks dangerous. His link up play was great today.

"He's got a knack of that, he can go inside or outside, he is developing into a fine player. We know we have pace and we want to counter quickly, it was a fantastic goal [the third goal], we are very happy with it.

"I don't care about making a statement, I know we are a good team. We will recover and then focus on the next one."

Kenny Kong: There has been glimpses of the Sir Alex era MUFC since the lockdown, barring the FA Cup game. Let's see if Ole can keep this style of play and form going into the next season. If he can and get the right players in, it's going to be intriguing.

Former England and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

From the get go Manchester United showed how sharp they were and wanted it. They were clinical. Brighton were very negative in the first half.

A wonderful Manchester United performance, individual good performances. They are looking very strong and going in the right direction.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes to Sky Sports: "The most important thing is the three points but we played well and the result was good. We didn't concede again which is important. David de Gea made two or three amazing saves, we are very happy.

"We knew that we needed to push forwards and to try and score from minute one. I was lucky with the first goal and the second goal was amazing, an amazing pass from Mason.

"We are fighting for a place in the Champions League and we know we can achieve this. I don't want to talk too much about me and Paul Pogba, we are happy to play together but I am happy to play with everyone. We can combine together, we have qualities, but we know that we have team-mates who can do well."

    Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

Brighton were actually much, much better in that second half and would have got one back if it wasn't for David de Gea but Manchester United are starting to purr and Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood were excellent.

  14. 'Fernandes my MoM'published at 22:05 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

    Karen Carney
Former England and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Bruno Fernandes could have played 10 minutes and I would have given him man of the match. He is just so exquisite and it has been a privilege to watch him play. The difference he has made to this Manchester United team - unbelievable.

Go on! Go for goal! Shouts someone from the Manchester United bench as Brandon Williams drives down the left. He's been positive since he came on but he passes inside and the chance is gone.

I've just been reminded that I've forgotten to put how many minutes have gone in every entry, it's a bit late to start now but we're into the 90th...

A lack of confidence? Brandon Williams' ball over the top sends Daniel James in beyond the Brighton defence, he should just run in and shoot but he hesitates, cuts inside and can only just squeeze off a weak effort. He then has another, better shot seconds later but Mat Ryan can pat it down.

  18. CLOSE!published at 21:59 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

Unorthodox, Scott McTominay hits a shot on the bounce that Mat Ryan juggles. I thought he made a bit of a mess of that but in fact it took a whacking deflection just in front of him and he actually made a very good reaction save.

Aaron Mooy is on for Brighton and he hits a cracking ball over the top for Aaron Connolly to chase. He's one on one with Brandon Williams but the young defender does well to stay with him and then make a challenge.

Abdul Momodu: Greenwood is my MOTM. Fantastic footballer, quick feet. 18years?

AJ Vergette: What we’ve seen from Greenwood tonight is the edge between him and Dan James. Not only a man extremely gifted, but a man confident enough to play on strengths. A must for the next few starting XI’s
