Brighton v Manchester United (20:00 BST)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter, speaking to Sky Sports: "We've had a positive couple of games but we have to start again. It is the Premier League and we play against a good side that are in good form.

"This is a chance to get three points. That is how we look at it. Manchester United are good team fighting for the Champions League and it will be a tough game, but it is a chance for three points."

Remind the players they have beaten Manchester United before? "I've reminded them they are good players and have to work hard if they want to get a result. History is fine but doesn't count for anything tonight.

"We need a good start, to play well, you need a bit of luck against this quality of opposition, but we have to make sure we do our best."

On starting Aaron Connolly: "Tactical, using Aaron's pace and I think Neal Maupay can help us off the bench, it is important to have players who can help finish the game as well."

Here come the visitors to warm up. An actual warm-up is needed as well, there's more than a few snoods out there.

IN JUNE! Yes, get angry if that's your sort of thing. It's pretty cold, I'm a long way from Brighton but it's very nippy up here too.

    Leicester City

Leicester have confirmed that despite the local lockdown around the city Saturday's game against Crystal Palace goes ahead as planned, and the club will continue to train as usual.

"Through the implementation of a robust and comprehensive Covid operations plan, the club is fully committed to playing its part in controlling the spread of the virus in our communities, while safely ensuring we can continue to operate and represent those communities on the pitch," they say.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, speaking to Sky Sports: "This is the same team that played less than a week ago against Sheffield United and we played really well in that game. Hopefully we can again.

"Everything has to be right. We have been here the last two years and not got any points. We know it is going to be hard. We have to focus on one game at a time. "

On Pogba and Fernandes starting together again: "It goes with football that you get used to each other, you get used to the way they want the ball and the way they run. We have Nemanja Matic's experience behind them, we have seen something there but with Scott McTominay and Fred they have never let us down. I am in a good position."

On Champions League hunt: "Three points today is all that matters now. you cannot look too far ahead. All eyes have been on this one and we see how we perform."

I think Neal Maupay and Aaron Mooy being left out is with one eye on Norwich at the weekend.

I expect Dale Stephens to be the sitting midfielder watching Bruno Fernandes. But United's front three have scored 50 goals between them, and Brighton will have to watch them, too.

Interestingly - well, I thought so anyway - it is being reported that Bayern Munich will be paying Leroy Sane double what he was being offered to stay at Manchester City.

    • Brighton have won their last three top-flight home games against Manchester United, in a run stretching back to 1982.
    • Manchester United have lost both of their Premier League away games against Brighton. Only against Chelsea (2003-2006), Everton (2012-2015), Liverpool (2008-2011), Southampton (1996-1998) and Tottenham (2016-2018) have they lost three consecutive away Premier League games against an opponent.

    Graham PotterImage source, PA Media

Brighton have picked up four points from their two games since the restart and it could have been six if they had put away their penalty against Leicester.

But if you'd offered a win and a draw against Arsenal and Leicester to Seagulls boss Graham Potter before the restart, he would have swum the channel to get it, especially with the teams below them in the table doing next to nothing.

The pressure is off Brighton a bit here, but I would still back Manchester United, who have also made a very positive return to action amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Their boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a lot of changes for their FA Cup win over Norwich. They didn't play well, but they still got through.

The race for the top four - and even fifth if Manchester City's Champions League ban for next season is upheld - is going to be an exciting one. United are in the thick of it, and I think they will push on here.

    Prediction: 0-2

Brighton v Man Utd (20:15 BST)

    Jonathan Pearce
BBC Match of the Day commentator

Playing without a crowd at this stage of the season has helped Brighton.

Graham Potter wants his side to play out from the back and the crowd get edgy after 20 minutes or so. They get on the players' back if they make a mistake.

Brighton's performances at the Amex have been very good but they need more points to stay up and a win tonight will almost take them there.

But Manchester United have goals from everywhere at the moment so it will be an intriguing game.

It's not a huge surprise but a shame for the Premier League, if you ask me. A fine player.

Just what that Bayern left-hand side was lacking as well, a bit of pace...
