    Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

Aaron Wan-Bissaka flies up on the overlap, full pace, hits a cross on the run and Yves Bissouma wears it full in the crotch. The noise that made in an empty stadium was seriously worrying.

    OUCH.

Now Odion Ighalo is on for Anthony Martial, who was pretty quiet up front for Manchester United this evening.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:51 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

Another really good save! Brighton deserve a goal for their second-half showing, they have looked much more like it. The ball breaks for Neal Maupay on the edge of the area, his instant shot takes a deflection and is flying in until David de Gea sticks out a hand and makes his second good stop of the night.

Shane Duffy attacks the corner with real purpose and meets it well, but heads it wide. 50p head.

I know they conceded to a wonderful goal but since the break Brighton have been a lot more positive. I have been enjoying their movement. It is definitely more their style this second half, they were too negative in the first half. They've had opportunities in this half but just not hit the target.

    Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

Daniel James has snuck on for Marcus Rashford while I wasn't looking, but it's Brighton who win a corner. Good defending from Nemanja Matic.

Defeat here - and it looks like being one - would leave Brighton six points clear of trouble with six games to play. Safe?

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:45 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

Crikey what a save! There's that shot on target for Brighton, Aaron Connolly swerving in an effort from 20 yards that was flying into the roof of the net before David de Gea takes off and makes a superb one-handed stop.

Leandro Trossard then shoots wide, very close indeed. The Seagulls have shown a bit since half-time. Much better.

  9. 'Man Utd midfield exciting'published at 21:43 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

I think Manchester United need another centre forward but that midfield is exciting. Bruno Fernandes is fantastic and I am gutted he has gone off to be honest.

A LOT of players have come in and taken the Premier League by storm. Amir Zaki for one.

To the fan saying Fernandes is the signing that has made the most immediate impact ever in the premier league, when he arrived united were 6th. They're now 5th. Wow.

    Rick, Manchester.

Nemanja Matic's pass for the third goal was brilliant actually, just seeing a replay back. It's a very, very good goal indeed.

  13. Postpublished at 21:40 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

Brighton haven't had a shot on target yet as we enter the final 25 minutes. At the other end AWB does well to turn and dig out a cross which Brandon Williams meets, looping a header over. Deflected.

Bruno Fernandes' day is done - he won't get a hat-trick tonight as Andreas Pereira comes on.

Oh there's more, Brandon Williams comes on for Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay is on for Paul Pogba.

Jonathan Wynne-Jones: Hard to think any player has made a more immediate impact in the Premier League than Bruno Fernandes. What a signing

Myles: Remember when you Manchester United fans wanted Nemanja Matic sold ... He is showing class out there.

James Ballantyne: I've had more dreams in the last 2 months than the last 5 years, and now mufc are playing good football, so the day dreams are improving too..

He's made a big difference, Lenadro Trossard, and he goes close-ish again with a volley at the back post this time. Shanks it over but it was another pretty attack form the hosts.

  17. CLOSE!published at 21:35 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

Eeeeshhh that's close! Paul Pogba brings down Leandro Trossard, and form the free-kick Alexs MacAllister cleverly reverses one under the wall to find Trossard inside the area. He has to lash it first time and does, but drives it just past the post.

    David de Gea didn't flinch.

    Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

    Karen Carney
Former England and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Paul Pogba has been a team player. He has done his job and that is what he needs to do. Him and Matic have made a really good pairing and that has allowed Fernandes to express himself. Pogba is always looking for the forward pass.

Brighton then put together a lovely, flowing attack of their own, all one-touch lay-offs and third man runs, but Aaron Connolly can't craft the final ball to the back post quite like Mason Greenwood and the chance has gone.

Even Aaron Wan-Bissaka is attacking now, the walking tackle takes on Dan Burn and wins a free-kick as Daniel James warms up. Pace to burn all of a sudden.
