Great take from Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire's pass finds him in some space outside the area and he glides past a defender but curls well wide.

Tariq Lamptey remains a bright spark for Brighton, running in behind Luke Shaw and making him work.

They don't look like scoring though.

    Brighton 0-2 Manchester United

If I thought that Mat Ryan should have done better with the opener but kept quiet for fear of being harsh, he should have done much better with that second goal.

Brighton are on a hiding to nothing now. Though they have got a free-kick in a decent spot - cleared.

It has been unbelievable watching Manchester United.

No-one tracked Luke Shaw's run and Bruno Fernandes puts it in the bottom corner.

It took a slight deflection but Mat Ryan will feel he can do better, it was poor defending from Brighton too.

The hosts are so narrow and the spaces are out wide, when you pull them apart the spaces open up in the middle.

  7. goal

GOAL - Brighton 0-2 Manchester Unitedpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Bruno Fernandes (29 mins)

It's a carbon copy of the earlier chance! Except this time Bruno Fernandes scores with a complete miskick.

Again Paul Pogba just rolls a square pass to him in the D, he makes a hash of his connection, topping it into the turf and yet somehow it bounces and squirms beyond the dive of Mat Ryan and in.

    Keeper?

Mason Greenwood is the first teenager to score at least six PL goals for United within a single PL campaign since Wayne Rooney in 2004-05 (11).

We're back playing again - Manchester United are above Wolves on goal difference and up to fifth in the table as it stands, two points behind Chelsea.

My apologies to Dan Burn - it was Lewis Dunk twisted inside out for that Mason Greenwood goal. Very well taken it was too.

    Brighton 0-1 Manchester United

The visitors do look a real threat tonight. Harry Maguire gets up well at the far post and plants a looping header just wide of the far post as we go into a drinks break.

That old feeling that United could score at any moment is starting to come back...

    Sam, Oxford

As a United fan who was spoiled under Fergie, then had to put up with the stale, rigid football that followed, it seems we are slowly starting to resemble the great sides of the past. Long way to go, but still promising!

Bruno Fernandes gets it over the wall but can't get it down again in time. Comfortably over the top.

  14. Postpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

Paul Pogba is clobbered right on the edge of the area. Dangerous spot for a free-kick. Bruno Fernandes is very much interested.

That's Greenwood's sixth Premier League goal of the season. Another proper talent.

    Brighton 0-1 Man Utd

    Karen Carney
Former England and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I tell you what, what a finish that is from Mason Greenwood.

He picked the ball up, drives into the box with stepovers, no Brighton player was anywhere near him, they can't touch him and it is a wonderfully, accurate finish.

He has looked so sharp so far.

  17. goal

GOAL - Brighton 0-1 Manchester Unitedpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Mason Greenwood (16 mins)

Well you have to say that is brilliant! Brighton have all 11 men packed into within about 30 yards of their own goal, there's no space to pass around them so Mason Greenwood runs at them instead.

He cuts in from the right, turns Lewis Dunk twisted with a lovely stepover and then cracks a low, left-footed shot in at the near post. Mat Ryan couldn't get down to it.

    Fine finish!

  18. Postpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Brighton 0-0 Manchester United

Paul Pogba has come alive in the last few minutes, gliding through an impossoble gap and leaving two men in his wake. Manchester United look to have a lot of options in possession at the moment, Luke Shaw is playing very high up on the left.

Unbelievable switch from Harry Maguire at the start of that move.

Bruno Fernandes tries to get it into the bottom corner and it hit the post, you can see why he is so accurate with his shooting.

  20. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 30 June 2020
