  1. Cardiff look to cement sixth placepublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 7 July 2020

    Cardiff v Blackburn (19:45 BST)

Five minutes until our final game of the evening kicks off.

Cardiff City have established their place in the top six and kept the chasing pack at bay with four wins in five.

With seventh-placed Derby County not in action until tomorrow - when the Rams travel to automatic promotion hopefuls West Brom - the Bluebirds have a chance to open up a six-point advantage over the teams below them.

Blackburn have sunk to 11th place after three straight defeats, seeing their aspirations of a play-off spot evaporate since the restart.

Rovers have only won one of their past eight games and are eight points below Cardiff heading into their trip to Wales.

It's win-or-bust for Tony Mowbray's side, and fans of every other team from seventh to 10th will be cheering the visitors on in the bid to rein in Cardiff.

  7. CLOSE!published at 19:26 British Summer Time 7 July 2020

    Brentford 0-1 Charlton

Another chance for Said Benrahma and Brentford as he sends another chance on the half-volley over.

It's brilliant from Benrahma, who flicks the ball up when he receives the pass and then hits it, but he should be hitting the target from there.

  8. Postpublished at 19:26 British Summer Time 7 July 2020

    Luton 1-0 Barnsley

Approaching the midway point of the second half at Luton and, barring one presentable opportunity from a free-kick, Barnsley haven't created a lot since half-time.

  9. Postpublished at 19:21 British Summer Time 7 July 2020

    Reading 0-0 Huddersfield

Bit of a cagey game this but Huddersfield have been the better side.

Steve Mounie has just had a decent chance for the Terriers, as Karlan Grant's free-kick finds the striker but he can't get enough on the header.

    Brentford 0-1 Charlton

Much like the first half, Brentford have plenty of the ball but Charlton look good on the counter.

Josh Dasilva, Said Benrahma and Mathias Jensen have all just had efforts but they come to nothing.

    Luton 1-0 Barnsley

It's Luton who are looking the more likely to score next.

Luke Berry's free-kick hits the wall and there's a scramble in the penalty box after the resulting corner, but Barnsley hold firm for now.

Can in-form Brentford get back into this?

Good strength shown by Reading man Yakou Meite on the right who gets inside and has a shot but it goes wide.

He's the man in form after scoring four in his last outing against Luton.

  15. Postpublished at 19:09 British Summer Time 7 July 2020

    Luton 1-0 Barnsley

A much calmer opening to proceedings in the second half at Kenilworth Road compared to the first.

Luton will move within two points of safety if they beat Barnsley, who will drop to the foot of the Championship if they're unable to find an equaliser.

The result puts the Whites up to third as things stand, and four points behind second-placed West Brom.

Forest suffer a first defeat in five games, and will have to settle for a place in the play-offs now.

Forest right-back Matty Cash gets a yellow card for dissent after midfielder Ryan Yates is penalised for a foul in a 50-50 challenge inside the Forest half.

    That is pure frustration.
