James: Newcastle out having barely laid a glove. I’d be pretty disappointed if I was a Toon fan.

Paul: Joelinton and gayle are nowhere near good enough for a Premier league team. Gayle proving it again. No wonder Newcastle are usually defensive and hope nick results, I wouldn't trust those strikers to try attack too much either, how they play saves humiliation.

Manchester City

"After the defeat against Chelsea, now in the Premier League we are struggling to focus. We are close in the Champions League and there is a gap. We are at Wembley again and were winners last season so that is so good. We are of course preparing for Madrid now."

Man City are a fantastic team and they deserved to reach the semifinal, but that big chance for Newcastle, Dwight will look back and regret it.

Manchester City birthday boy Kevin de Bruyne talking to MOTD: "We started really well, were sharp and put them under pressure.

"We should have scored more. We had a few problems with penaltes this year. The gaffer asked me to step up and I have scored a couple now.

"In my career I have played lots of positions and the gaffer asked me to try something new because Newcastle play with a back five. I just work for the team.

On playing behind closed doors: "We know it is really wierd and it is not something I enjoy, but we are professionals and we need to keep going."

Newcastle United have conceded two or more goals in 20 of their last 24 matches against Man City in all competitions.

Manchester City have won their last 10 FA Cup matches by an aggregate score of 37-4.

Kevin De Bruyne is the first Manchester City player to score a goal on his birthday since Nolito vs Everton in October 2016.
