It's shot after shot after shot. Raheem Sterling's latest one is patted away by Karl Darlow.

Riyad Mahrez' shot is deflected and lands kindly for Raheem Sterling a few yards out. He has to wait for the ball to come down and tries to chip the keeper, who does just enough to get a hand on it to pat it away.

Kevin de Bruyne's shot is then blocked again by Sean Longstaff but City will come back at them again with a corner.

Manchester City look really up for this today. The passing is so crisp; one touch, two touch. Everyone is pretty much in the Newcastle third.

Parcell: This is horribly painful. I might have to turn this off. I would rather lose having a real go at them than lose defending our 18 yard box. Yes we may win, there is a slim chance and we have done it before but its still horrible to watch.

This is relentless. Got to feel sorry for Newcastle! City definitely look up for it.

There have been examples already of Newcastle giving the ball away. You're not getting to be seeing the ball that often so when you get it, don't give it away so cheaply.

Andy Carroll is being a nuisance. He wins a free-kick just by being on the pitch as Nicolas Otemendi doesn't want him winning the header and ends up pulling him to the ground.

The free-kick is wasteful though.

City are piling the pressure on.

Riyad Mahrez curls one from the edge of the box just wide of the left post. Yet more lovely passing from Kevin de Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and David Silva though.

Kyle Walker fires a ball across the six-yard box and it hits Gabriel Jesus, who couldn't do much about it, and fizzes JUST wide.

David Silva didn't even see it and he was in front of Jesus. That could have gone anyway!
