Players were lining up to finish this one!

A mistake by the back is pounced on by David Silva, who heads towards the box. It is three versus one but Silva feeds Raheem Sterling and he rolls the ball into the far corner.

    Superb stuff from City!

    Sheffield United 0-0 Wolves

Jack O'Connell is feeling it. It's his first full game back since recovering from a knee problem. He's chucked a bottle of lucozade to get down him.

The cramp team need to get ready!

  5. Postpublished at 19:48 British Summer Time 8 July 2020

    West Ham 0-1 Burnley

Jay Rodriguez tries to spring the offside trap but makes his move too soon and the flag is up.

There's a lengthy break in play at the moment because Josh Brownhill is down receiving treatment after getting hit in the face by Jarrod Bowen's shot.

    Sheffield United 0-0 Wolves

Jonny's quick footwork sets Diogo Jota on his way on the left. He cuts inside and lays it off to Raul Jimenez, who tries to pick out Leander Dendoncker on the right.

His chipped through ball is awful though, and it flies straight out for a goal kick. Nuno gives an encouraging clap on the sidelines as Jimenez shakes his head and trudges back in frustration.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 8 July 2020

    Man City 4-0 Newcastle

Another couple of changes for Newcastle as Emil Krafth and Matt Ritchie make way for Yoshinori Muto and Christian Atsu.

Manchester City have taken their foot off the pedal a bit now. Four goals and a clean sheet would be a very good night's work for Pep Guardiola's side.

Eight minutes left of normal time. Any late winners?

Noal Fitzpatrick: Re 7:31, Gerard, you're in luck, there's already a fantastic team and manager, who play brilliant attacking football, and you don't even have to move city!

  10. CLOSE!published at 19:40 British Summer Time 8 July 2020

Lukasz Fabianski keeps West Ham in this as he gets down low to keep out Chris Wood's effort after the striker cut in from the left.

If Tommy Doyle scores and I've still not had a goal in this game... That's just greedy Gary. I'll be huffing and puffing.

    West Ham 0-1 Burnley

Into the final 10 minutes as West Ham continue to search for an equaliser.

Plenty of huff and puff but they've not really come close since Sebastien Haller's effort just after he came on.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:37 British Summer Time 8 July 2020

    Man City 4-0 Newcastle

Big moment for Manchester City youngster Tommy Doyle as the 18-year-old comes on for his Premier League debut, replacing goalscorer Riyad Mahrez.

Imagine if he gets a goal...

  15. CLOSE!published at 19:37 British Summer Time 8 July 2020

    Sheffield United 0-0 Wolves

Richairo Zivkovic lifts a good ball into the box and George Baldock gets there ahead of Jonny. He doesn't connect properly with his header and it ends up bouncing harmlessly wide.

    That was a good chance!

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:35 British Summer Time 8 July 2020

    Man City 4-0 Newcastle

Brilliant save by Martin Dubravka as he somehow keeps out Bernardo Silva's strike from point-blank range.

Manchester City have so much talent and a squad full of quality. Just shows what an incredible achievement it has been for Liverpool to be so far ahead of them in the League and to have wrapped the title up with 7 games to go.

    Sheffield United 0-0 Wolves

John Egan comes sliding across to stop Raul Jimenez on the left. Sheffield United then go up the other end and Willy Boly hauls Lys Mousset out of the way to get to the ball in the left corner. He's given away a free-kick as a result!

Funny you should say that Emma (7:28pm) as I once played five-a-side with West Ham legend Paolo Di Canio and he told me in no uncertain terms that I was the worst footballer he had ever seen.

How West Ham could do with someone of Di Canio's ability now to unlock this Burnley defence.

When I come back in another life, can I be a man city fan? (I'm an Evertonian). Said it so often before but they play football that is on a different level to anyone I've ever seen. When he gets teams playing like this, Guardiola turns football in to an art form. Breathtaking quality.
