Henrik Dalsgaard can only head Sergi Canos' header over the bar. Had to be a goal to have any faint chance.

    Game over.

Joe Bryan, cruising forward, coolly slots beyond David Raya after a one-two with Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Brilliant energy from the full-back, who gets his second and sends Fulham to the Premier League.

    All over bar the shouting.

  3. Postpublished at ET 26 mins

    Brentford 0-1 Fulham

    Four to go.

Brentford are going for it, but it's blanket defence from Fulham.

Ball into the area headed only as far as Ethan Pinnock on the edge of the 18-yard box, but the Bees centre-half backspun his volley into Marek Rodak's hands.

  4. 'David Raya's dive was comedy'published at ET 25 mins

    Brentford 0-1 Fulham

    BBC Radio 5 live commentator

Looking at the free-kick everything looks like it's going to be one of those you see a 100 times swung into the far post, the runners are gonna come in and then hopefully the keeper comes and punches it but the dive is comedy from David Raya.

Great goal though from Joe Bryan.

  5. Postpublished at ET 25 mins

    Brentford 0-1 Fulham

Said Benrahma drills his shot into the wall.

Brentford attack again as Christian Norgaard rolls the ball into the box but diving amongst the feet and studs is Marek Rodak.

Brave and crucial from the Fulham goalie.

  6. Postpublished at ET 24 mins

    Brentford 0-1 Fulham

Fulham are all back, mob-handed in defence, to clear away anything played forward by a blue shirt.

Foul by Cyrus Christie gives Brentford a free-kick on the edge of the box left-hand side. Came right over the top.

  7. Postpublished at ET 22 mins

    Brentford 0-1 Fulham

Brilliant challenge by Joe Bryan, robbing Tarique Fosu as he chopped back inside to get a shot away.

    Crucial challenge.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at ET 21 mins

    Brentford 0-1 Fulham

Cyrus Christie and Maxime Le Marchand come on, as Fulham tweak their side with Josh Onomah and Denis Odoi both coming off.

    Fulham freshening up.

Said Benrahma has his hands on his knees and looks goosed. Mentally more so than physically I'd imagine. It's been a tough night for him.

  9. 'I feel sorry for the keeper, he'll have nightmares'published at ET 19 mins

I feel sorry for the Brentford goalkeeper, he'll have nightmares about that.

It reminded me of Gary McAllister scoring for Liverpool against Everton at Goodison Park but even that was 10 yards closer.

I can't believe he has scored from there.

  10. 'It was a brilliant free-kick'published at ET 19 mins

    Brentford 0-1 Fulham

    Robert Earnshaw
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's a great free-kick because to see it, deliver it and obviously shoot from there was brilliant.

It was terrible goalkeeping, you don't do that in the final.

    Brentford 0-1 Fulham

Marek Rodak comes out and clutches a swirling Henrik Dalsgaard cross. The kind of claim you want your keeper to make when you're clinging to a lead like this.

David Raya creeps off his line smartly to smother an Anthony Knockaert cross at the other end.

  12. Postpublished at ET 17 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

You almost feel the frustration from the Brentford players.

The goal came from a seemingly harmless set-piece.

They have to find a chink in the armour now against a side that has given them nothing.

Sergi Canos rolls a cross in that Halil Dervisoglu can't get a full touch to and it's saved by Marek Rodak.

  13. KICK-OFFpublished at ET 15 mins

    Brentford 0-1 Fulham

Couple of changes to bring you up to date with.

Halil Dervisoglu on for Brentford, Mathias Jensen heading off. Now Rico Henry goes off and Tarique Fosu replaces him.

Ivan Cavaleiro for Fulham, Aboubakar Kamara off.

What a game-changer from Joe Bryan.

Fulham will look to contain, Brentford have to come to play.

    The deadlock is broken!

From about 40-odd yards, Joe Bryan bends a free-kick into the back of the net, catching out David Raya in the Brentford goal.

It's a massive moment for Fulham. Bryan noticed Raya off his line, anticipating a cross, but the full-back is smart enough and has the energy to sweep the free-kick and delight the Whites' contingent.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at ET 14 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

Fulham clear the free-kick and a long throw.

The quick boot out by Marek Rodak catches Brentford out as David Raya heads away in no-mans land and Christian Norgaard has to make the tackle.

    Yellow for the Dane.

Then Aleksandar Mitrovic gets a booking too when he shoves Brentford's Emiliano Marcondes to the deck.

  17. 'You can really notice a poor game in an empty stadium'published at ET 12 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Fulhamm

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
    BBC Radio 5 live commentator

If this stadium was full sometimes a poor game can be masked by that - the excitement, the tension, noise and colour.

In an empty stadium you've just got the football and if it's not great you really notice it.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at ET 12 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

Rico Henry turns up the gas as he gallops down the left but Anthony Knockaert brings him down for a Brentford free-kick.

    Another in the book.

  19. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

Tom Cairney pings a diagnonal to the edge of the Brentford box but the oncoming Aboubakar Kamara cannot steer his cross across goal, rather puts it behind.

    Nice idea though.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at ET 8 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Fulham

    Michael HectorImage source, Rex Features

Michael Hector goes into the book for a chop on Christian Norgaard in midfield. He's been in the wars.

Brentford, who had a mild jitter before when David Raya had to beat away a cross, pump a set-piece out to Said Benrahma but his flick on is shepherded out by Fulham.
