  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 45 mins

    England 0-1 Denmark

Gareth Southgate is desperate for half time. He wants a good team talk here and probably a shout-off.

Pierre-Emile Hojberg has a swing at Harry Kane in the meantime, catching him painfully on the knee, and gets a yellow. Jose Mourinho is squirming...

    Poland 1-0 Bosnia

    Poland

You know who has scored for Poland, Robert Lewandowski putting them ahead. It's significant as, with Italy and the Dutch drawing in Bergamo, it's Poland who top that group as it stands.

  3. 'Kane has to gamble'published at 20:29 British Summer Time 14 October 2020

    England 0-1 Denmark

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

What a ball, once again, from Reece James. There was question marks over Harry Kane's fitness, was he fit, wasn't he fit? Is he fit? Isn't he fit? He should have really gambled earlier, he's a player that is prolific but James couldn't have done any more.

  4. Postpublished at 42 mins

    England 0-1 Denmark

Kyle Walker finds Reece James on the right touchline. He plays another excellent ball into the box but Harry Kane, again, isn't in the right place to get on the end of it.

    James has been impressive.

    England 0-1 Denmark

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

This was 31 minutes of unrelenting misery for Harry Maguire. He put himself under pressure with a reckless early challenge and his performance afterwards was simply awful, leading to that lack of control for the second yellow.

Maguire's confidence looks shot and he is a liability at present for club and country.

Never a pen!! It's a shame we haven't got some kind of video referee to iron out these terrible refereeing mistakes...

    Elliott, Mersea

James Lockwood: Never a penalty, but really poor by Maguire moments before and then Pickford being his usual rash self, perhaps now Pope will get the chance he deserves?

Sad to say Maguire is just a liability for club and country right now. He needs time to improve away from big games, and separate his personal from professional life.

    Andy, Cardiff

Surely that Maguire tackle was just that - a tackle! He didn't just touch the ball - he leathered it, and he had no choice but to slide through. Nuts!

    England 0-1 Denmark

Andreas Christensen drags back Harry Kane, who tries to chase a long ball over the top. The Chelsea defender is in the book now.

Kasper Dolberg, who hasn't recovered from the tackle by Harry Maguire, is off for Denmark and replaced by Pione Sisto.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is the one sacrificed by England, while Tyrone Mings comes on.

It's an emphatic penalty from Christian Eriksen on his 100th cap.

England started the game well but now they've got so much work to do being a man and goal down.

Harry Maguire's red card is England's third red card at Wembley - Paul Scholes vs Sweden in June 1999 and Steven Gerrard vs Ukraine in September 2012 previously.

No penalty in my opinion but when you defend like that, you deserve to concede one!

  13. 'Not a penalty'published at 20:21 British Summer Time 14 October 2020

    England 0-0 Denmark

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

That is calamitous defending - Jordan Pickford isn't happy with the decision. There was hesitation in the back line but I'm not sure that's a penalty at all. It's really soft.

  14. goal

GOAL - England 0-1 Denmarkpublished at 36 mins

    Christian Eriksen

On his 100th appearance, Christian Eriksen slots it coolly down the middle. Work to do for England.

  15. PENALTY - Denmarkpublished at 34 mins

    England 0-0 Denmark

    Shambles. Absolute shambles.

Kyle Walker doesn't deal with the long ball. He gets in a soft tussle with Thomas Delaney and Jordan Pickford comes in to make matters worse.

There's absolutely nothing in it and Delaney makes a meal of it but Walker and Pickford were in no-man's land.

  16. 'Unfortunate but you can't argue it's a second yellow'published at 20:18 British Summer Time 14 October 2020

    England 0-0 Denmark

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's been a horrible start to the season for Harry Maguire. He put himself under pressure with the early challenge and he just let the ball get away with him. He went to ground again, and that's the issue, you always give the referee a decision to make.

England have been dominate and controlled the game position wise and now they are a man down.

It's a poor first touch from Maguire and Kasper Dolberg is onto him. He does get the ball but his follow through gets Dolberg. You could say he's a bit unfortunate but I don't think you can argue that it is a second yellow.

  17. Postpublished at 33 mins

Tyrone Mings takes his trackies off. He's going to come on. Harry Kane runs over to read some magic tactics on Gareth Southgate's notepad.

  18. RED CARD - Harry Maguirepublished at 32 mins

    England 0-0 Denmark

    This isn't overly surprising...

Harry Maguire's been sluggish all game and it's another rash tackle, where he just didn't seem to have any balance after a poor touch.

A second yellow and he's off. The Manchester United centre-back heads straight down the tunnel.

Normally in that position, with Harry Kane, you'd expect the net to bulge. Once again England waste the opportunity.

  20. Postpublished at 30 mins

    England 0-0 Denmark

    That was a chance!

Declan Rice lofts a ball in from deep, spotting the run of Mason Mount in the box. He brings it down and tees up Harry Kane but the striker's first touch isn't great.

It means the ball is behind him as he tries to swivel and shoot and in the end, he doesn't get enough on it.
