  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 30 mins

    England 2-0 Iceland

He's had some grief of late but that's cracking play from Harry Maguire, lumbering up the left wing and breaking into the Iceland area before picking out Phil Foden on the far side. The Manchester City man goes to lift one but the keeper is on him quick to make a good stop.

  2. 'England have shown good pressure'published at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2020

    England 2-0 Iceland

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

You have to credit Mason Mount, he was on the move in anticipation really. It's a cross into the box, it doesn't get dealt with by Iceland - who haven't defended particularly well in this game - just fortunately the ball drops into Mount's space and it's a simple slide into the corner. England have shown some good pressure and good patience.

  3. Postpublished at 28 mins

    England 2-0 Iceland

Harry Kane swivels and blasts over the top as I recoil at the fact Ray Wilkins only scored three times for England.

  4. Postpublished at 27 mins

    England 2-0 Iceland

Mason Mount has three goals for England now - the same as Steve McManaman, Paul Merson and Dele Alli.

  5. goal

GOAL - England 2-0 Icelandpublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2020

    Mason Mount (25 mins)

The floodgates could be opened now. England attack again down their left, Bukayo Saka's cross is a good one and while Harry Kane can't quite connect with a header, the ball ricochets into the path of Mason Mount about eight yards out, he switches it from right foot to left and sticks it in the corner.

    England 1-0 Iceland

Declan Rice is the first West Ham player to score for England since BBC Radio 5 live pundit Matthew Upson in June 2010 vs Germany.

Gareth Barry is still chasing Mesut Ozil...

  8. Rice lifts the subdued moodpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2020

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

England needed that, the game needed that, and a great moment for Declan Rice to oblige with his first goal.

Gareth Southgate's side are now looking dominant.

  9. 'Too easy for England'published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2020

    England 1-0 Iceland

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Declan Rice has a massive smile on his face. He's delighted with his first goal but it is too simple. It's very tight on the offside but it's just so easy for England. An area of the pitch you would expect Iceland to be on point, set pieces ,and they just go to sleep.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 22 mins

    England 1-0 Iceland

And that's very nearly two, a fine save from Ögmundur Kristinsson! Jack Grealish cuts the ball back to Bukayo Saka, who doesn't make the cleanest of connections but it's on target and the keeper has to get a big hand on it to claw it away.

  11. Wind gets Denmark levelpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2020

    Belgium 1-1 Denmark

Lively start in Belgium as Denmark equalise through Jonas Wind's header on his full debut.

A draw still sends Belgium into the Nations League finals but Denmark go through with a win.

    Game on!

  12. goal

GOAL - England 1-0 Icelandpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2020

    Declan Rice (20 mins)

A first England goal and as easy as they get for Declan Rice!

Jack Grealish wins a free-kick, he gets fouled so often, Phil Foden's delivery from the left is a teasing one and Rice just gets ahead of his man to tickle in a header into the far corner.

He was mighty close to being offside but the goal stands.

  13. Postpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2020

    England 0-0 Iceland

That's Phil Foden who has made 10 passes so far - the most of any player not in the back three.

    England 0-0 Iceland

Kieran Trippier wearing three at right wing-back is nothing short of a national disgrace, by the way.

Needless on every level, considering England are wearing squad numbers.

Fifteen forgettable minutes gone, 75 to go. One blocked shot the sum of all parts so far.

The selection of Pickford is bizarre! Why, in a dead rubber of a game, would you not give one of the other goalkeepers a go? What does Nick Pope have to do?! And Henderson should surely be given a go since he isn't first choice for his club and therefore less worry about an injury. Cannot understand Southgate’s illogical dedication to Pickford.

    Tom L, London

People need to get behind Southgate, he's had injuries and suspensions to deal with, given chances to young, exciting players and England were the better side against Belgium. A weird hate for Southgate right now based on nothing

    Kane, Bristol

  17. 'Walker a key part for England'published at 19:59 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2020

    England 0-0 Iceland

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

There is a lot of responsibility on Kyle Walker in that centre-back role, wide of the right. He's probably the number one pick at the moment with Harry Maguire having a dip in form. He's going to be a key part for England over the coming months.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12 mins

    England 0-0 Iceland

England are having loads of the ball as you'd expect. 83% so far to be exact. Kyle Walker was sent off in Reykjavik and he's in the book already.

    That's not even a foul.

  19. Postpublished at 11 mins

    England 0-0 Iceland

Well, Harry Maguire is actually playing on the left of the defence but I take your point.

Mark: Given that this is now a meaningless fixture for both teams it’s daft not to give “star” players a rest & experiment. PL managers will be hoping for no more injuries

Dier instead of Mings? That makes no sense whatsoever. Right footer on the left. Another case of Southgate putting a square peg in a round hole.
